This company refused to provide even a ballpark estimate for a standard job — a 50-amp generator plug with an interlock — and instead wanted to charge a $69 “dispatch/diagnostic” fee just to show up. That’s not an upfront price, that’s a sales appointment. Very misleading, and not what Angi promises. I will be taking my business elsewhere."

"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

They installed new motors and fans in my existing heating and ac units...they kept my heating unit going for 27 years! . When it was finally time to replace the whole system ,they walked me through the benefits of a heat pump, and basically held my hand while I tried to figure out what the best option was. They came on time to do the installation, clean up and hauled away the old units, made sure I understood how everything worked, and delivered a great product with a great warranty. These guys have taken care of me for years. Highly recommend this local family business."

Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."
