"We’ve custom-built and remodeled homes on five occasions and from that perspective I give SES a solid thumbs up. They recently completed a kitchen renovation on our apartment and we are very happy with the outcome and the price paid. Perry’s estimate was detailed and specific and allowed us to complete the project as scoped for the price quoted — a first for us. The project progressed at an acceptable pace and SES coordinated well with the subs we selected ourselves for cabinets and countertops. As is the case with all builders, there were a few glitches and some of their crew were more skilled than others. Their demo crew, cabinet installer and tile guy were first-rate, their paint guys OK and their floor guy and cleaners not very good. SES addressed concerns related to the latter two with redos and fee reductions, respectively. They inadvertently disposed of $300 worth of cabinet lighting they were supposed to reuse, but they immediately agreed to replace it at their expense. Similarly, I had asked them repeatedly to provide me with copies of receipts for parking so I could get these reimbursed by the insurance company (the project was necessitated by water damage caused by our upstairs neighbor) but they neglected to do so and as a result offered to not charge us for parking (which HAD been included as a line item in their bid). Owner Shawn was very personable and responsive, and office manager Ashley was a pleasure to deal with, keeping things moving along and ensuring punch list items and other requests were addressed in a timely fashion. Communication generally was excellent. There were no times when anyone became difficult to work with, another first for us. I would gladly use SES again and I recommend them without reservation."

"After interviewing six contractors for my project, a complete renovation of a single family home, I chose Alfonso Castillo based on reviews from this site and on the fact that he was the most professional, prompt and engaging contractor I met. After meeting with him and agreeing to a contract, work began within days on the property. The first seven weeks of a two month projected project went very smoothly and communication was without hitches. I then went out of town  for 10 days and was told that the project would be completed upon my return. When i came back in town, the project was not completed, in fact it was far from it. This however, is understandable because the project, given mold, termite and structural issues, was much larger than initially anticipated. The house is now completed and looks wonderful beyond my expectations, with Alfonso and his crew paying attention to all my wishes and even taking care with minute details within the house. As in any business relationship, communication is key, which is my only grievance on this project with Alfonso; and communication only became strained upon my return to town and in the last few weeks as we neared completion. This grievance is two-sided however, as this was my first renovation project and it became clear quickly that I had a lot to learn. Alfonso took the time to meet with me countless times throughout the project and offered advice, guidance and explanations at every turn. Overall, I am extremely happy with the outcome of the house and with Alfonso, Roy (my property manager) and his crew. Alfonso had a vision of what the house could be from the beginning and he delivered absolutely. I would, without a second thought, recommend Alfonso Castillo for any construction needs. "The most professional company I've ever delt with! Turned our house into a home! I called 13 contractors and Monge Remodeling gave me the most in depth walk through and project scope. He didn't try to cut corners or upcharge me. He was fair and true to his word. We had an old flip house that felt hopeless but now feels like a forever home. He replace beams under my house, replaced my subfloor, Leveled all the floors out in the home and installed vinyl flooring through my ENTIRE home. He did such a great job we hired him for our Countertop and kitchen remodel! He will be our permanent contractor on ALL future projects! So thankful that I found Him!"

"The salesman came to my home and showed me his product and I expressed my concerens and he listen. He explain what could be done and quoted a price. Two weeks later the installers arrived with the windows. They took out the old windows and put in the new and hooked up the alarm system. Next day the finish up crew came and did the needed stucco and said they would return the next day to finish the job. They arrived as scheduled and finished the job. All the way thru this project if I had a question the workers were willing to give me an ans. I also had a number for the salesman and project manager. They were all very neat and cleaned up after themselves.I certainly will use this company again for future projects."

"It did not go as well as we had hoped.  He missed straightening out/tightening  some of the siding slats and I had to call him back to make corrections in the places which were still sagging.  He did not appear to understand the type of repair that was needed to straighten out and secure the siding slats.

"General Contractor and workers are trust worthy and very neat.  Daily tarps were laid and all traces were cleaned up at the end of the shift.  No extra costs.  Work was completed within the estimated timeline. 
I have done three major jobs with this contractor and have been very satisfied.  Capstone renovated a sun room and two bathrooms on previous projects and I will continue to use them for all home updates. 
In addition, they handled a home inspection for my daughter when she recently bought a new home.  Arrived promptly, did a thorough inspection//Charge $275."
