"We recently hired Serenity Pools to build our in-ground swimming pool and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional. They took the time to understand our vision, gave great suggestions, and kept us in the loop every step of the way. The quality of work is outstanding and the pool looks amazing. They left the site clean each day and finished on schedule. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to build a pool."

"I found Pleasure Pools very accommodating to work with. They went out of their way to aquire some of the unique materials needed to make our pool look and feel like we wanted including a waterfall and natural stone boarder. They created a beautiful pool and spa in my limited backyard space. Their ongoing service has been excellent. We love our pool. We would recommend their pools and service to anyone looking to get a beautiful, quality pool at an affordable price."

"USE THIS COMPANY! A+++++++++++++ JD is easy to work with. His word is his bond. Honest, trusting, does what he says. You will not go wrong with JD and his company. Now the details! I a SO happy with the result. I just hated to look at the old pool. The pool was probably 30 years old. Someone had painted the surface in places and overall the pool was in sad, sad shape. There were other things I could have done but I just didn't want to spend the money. But, what I did was well worth it! There were 3 phases of the project: Phase 1 = Remove the old plaster. There was a crew of 5 men that us jack hammers and other various tools to remove the majority of the plaster down to the gunite. I have to note that I did not expect that amount of work - I had an idea it would just be a skim coat sort of job. That took 2-3 days. Phase 2 = Replaster the surface. Again, 5-7 men working on that phase. That was 1 day because the plaster moves fast. These people were "artisans" for lack of a better word. The stairs had been chipped away in phase 1 and I never thought they'd make them look right. WRONG - they look great, as does the rest of the surface. Then the pool had to immediately be filled with water so the pool doesn't come out of the ground and to set the plaster (I guess). I used ground water and it tood 3+ days to fill. Of course the pool water looked brown from all the minerals. JD the owner came out and added chemicals and things looked better in a few hours, but took a few days to look like pool water. (this was expected). Phase 3 = form up the opening that the old pool cover sat in and then pour cement. After that 2-3 people came out and tiled over the cement. The great part of this was that the old tile was not available and the replacement tile that was chosen couldn't get in a small supply. JD the owner thought outside the box and bought brick and cut the brick down (sliced it). IT WORKED - it looks great. JD is a very nice guy. He had a number of projects going, but never forgot my project. The project didn't quite come in on schedule because it's the rainy season and all this had to be juggled. But seriously, most projects take longer than originally scheduled.

"Andrew was quick in coming to the house to give us an estimate when we needed it. Nobody was able to accommodate our specific need, but him and his company. I did like how he detailed the scope of work on his estimate/proposal. We could not wait for missing information that was needed very quickly. This is no fault on his part. He was just making sure that all the estimates are good. I did give his name to a neighbor who was needing help in estimates, too. I then give recently his name to another neighbor. If given a more reasonable time, I believe that I will be able to use their company. Detailed project scope impressed me."

"I can sum this guy up in one word, Awesome! Craig is knowledgeable, personable, kind, friendly and helpful. We’ve been in our house two years now and the original person caring for the pool was great until he went out of business and sent Shark Pools. Craig came to us when our pool was literally a swamp thanks to Shark Pools and located the problem right away! He’s been to my house so many times in the three weeks he’s been working on our pool that I can’t even count! He’s come to check on it, deliver a new pump and sand, brought HIS Electrition over to check out the wiring because he didn’t like the way the wires were crammed together and sure enough they needed work! , replaced the pump and sand, vacuumed the pool twice not to mention adding all the shock and acid !!! He is a pleasure to be around and treats our pool as if it’s his own!!! We have two Crain statues that used to squirt out water and stopped ( I didn’t even mention it to him) and he’s not only fixing them but he’s resetting them so they’ll look better!!!!! And he noticed the previous owners had landscape lighting placed in an area that wasn’t showing off the pool and said he was going to reroute them for me!!! Craig walks me through every little thing he does and makes me feel as though we are his only customers! Our pool has never looked this good!!! If you’re in need of a reliable pool company who’s reasonably priced, Stepp Up Pools is the company to go with. This guy is the real deal!"

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.

New constructions, renovations, and interior layouts benefit from expert drafting.

Costs depend on material quality, labor rates, and additional features like lighting or custom finishes.

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.
