"I just had Stone Age Masonry install a brick and flagstone porch, and I’m super happy with how it turned out! Eddie and his team really know their stuff. It did take a little longer than I expected, but honestly, I appreciate Eddie’s perfectionist side. He really takes his time to make sure everything is perfect, and it definitely shows in the final result. My porch looks amazing and has completely changed the look of my entrance! "I cannot say enough about James and Bryce. They were not only professional, but knowledgeable and courteous as well. We had consulted two prior companies about getting our fireplace operational with ventless gas logs. They both said it would be difficult, if not impossible. All-Star Drain Solutions came out for an initial consultation, advised us what needed to be done and, on their second trip, did the install at a reasonable price.. The fireplace looks great! Brick can increase the value of your home depending on the type of masonry materials used. Homes generally have a higher resale value when they have brick siding, and brick is also easier to maintain (and lasts longer) than other types of siding, which can motivate buyers to make an offer.

Handbuilt masonry fireplaces are likely what comes to mind when we think about curling up by the fire at the end of the day. But bricks in the firebox and chimney tend to be heavy, which is not ideal for homes with weak or damaged foundations.

Prefabricated fireboxes come with a full flue and chimney system, significantly reducing the price and installation time. However, if you need to replace the panels down the line, you are locked into the same model or something very similar.

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.
