Extreme or prolonged exposure to high heat can cause damage to the marble, such as discoloration, cracking, or even the breaking or chipping of the stone's surface. To protect your marble countertop from potential heat damage, it’s important to use trivets, hot pads, or other heat-resistant surfaces under hot pans or pots. This precaution will help maintain the beauty and integrity of your marble countertop for the long run.
