There are a few main causes of bed bugs. You can pick up bed bugs through traveling since these pests can hide in the seats of buses, taxis, airplanes, and other vehicles as well as seats at restaurants, hotels, and other public places. Bed bugs can also travel on purses, backpacks, luggage, and other bags. Another main cause of bed bugs is multi-unit housing, such as apartment complexes or college dorms.
You can remove a wasp nest yourself, but it isn’t a good idea. Although it looks easy enough to hit down a nest with a broom, wasps may be inside or around the nest and are known for getting aggressive when their nest is threatened. Whether you, your dog, or your cat has been sprayed, Poison Control recommends using a solution of 1 quart of 3% (household strength) hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup of baking soda, and 1 teaspoonful of liquid dish detergent mixed together and immediately applied to the sprayed fur or skin to get rid of skunk smell.
