Since fleas are so tiny, the best way to find them is with a very thorough search. Focus on two specific areas. First, look where your pets spend lots of time sleeping or playing, which is where fleas are likely to linger. Second, look at ground-level fabrics like carpet, furniture upholstery and similar spots where it’s easy for fleas to hide. While you’re probably worried about fleas inside your home, it’s a good idea to check outdoors around patios or outdoor chairs to see if fleas are congregating in specific spots. 

Most treatments take 3-8 hours, with follow-up visits recommended within two weeks to ensure complete elimination.

Paper wasps, like many other wasps, are attracted to sweet smells that remind them of nectar. That’s why wasps may buzz around you as you snack on watermelon on the patio. They may also like the scent of certain perfumes. Standing water attracts these wasps, too.

Paper wasps are also attracted to warm, sheltered spaces, where they can build nests and raise larva in protected areas away from predators. They may also be attracted to untreated wood on your deck or fence, as they use wood pulp to build nests.

Scorpions are repelled by strong scents like lavender, cedar, peppermint, and cinnamon. Applying essential oils of these scents mixed with water around your home's perimeter and entry points can act as a mild, chemical-free deterrent. In addition to scents, scorpions also tend to avoid well-lit areas, preferring to hide in dark, cool, and damp places during the day. However, it's important to note that these methods are not fully effective on their own and should be combined with other preventative efforts, such as sealing any potential entryways into your home.
