97 I have a stone chimney that was leaking The first time he attempted repair he used brick sealant and it continued to leak. When called back, he said "I was afraid of that." He then said he had used brick sealant and would need to use stone sealant, thus showing that he was cutting corners....
There were repairs done, but it didn't fix the issue. However, they were very good to come back, investigate further and make repairs. They found a crack that very rarely occurs. They repaired it and only charged me parts.
