Small jobs welcome

"This is the second Pro I have hired through your service and I couldn't be more pleased. Tamera called me the same day, set up a time to meet and go over my yard clean up needs. This was last week and as of today 3-15-2016, the work is completed. My yard looks wonderful, the work was done in a timely manner. They gave me a time they would be here and were here on time. I'm so pleased !!!!"

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"I called Mike at 8:30 a.m. on March 8th and left him a message that I couldn't make the appointment due to an unexpected work commitment. I requested that he either go over to the house (currently vacant) and take a look at it or meet my husband there at noon instead of 10:00 a.m. I never heard anything from Mr. Molinari until Monday, March 12, 2007, stating the he didn't have my phone number to call me back. I would have preferred that he or another representative would have just gone over to the house at the original time, assessed the property and the project and called me with questions."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Methods include exclusion devices, netting, and sealing entry points. Professionals ensure compliance with local wildlife regulations.

When it comes to keeping birds from doing their business on your porch rails, you have several DIY options and home remedies you can try:

  • Tie a fishing line from one end of the deck post to the other. Birds won’t be able to see the line across the railing, so they can’t land on it.

  • Hang wind chimes close by, which may scare birds away.

  • Apply a bird gel repellent to the railings, which contains smells that birds generally don’t like. Or, similarly, you can apply citronella or lemon oil around the railings, since birds don’t like strong smells.

Finding a dead bat in your home can be frightening, even during spooky season. The United States Department of Interior states that if you find a dead bat, take these steps:

  • Contact your state wildlife agency to report the finding

  • Photograph the bat safely to help the wildlife agency determine the species

  • Use disposable gloves to place the bat into a plastic bag, making sure to spray with disinfectant and close the bag securely

  • Thoroughly clean your hands and any clothing that came into contact with the bat

If you see one dead bat, you might have a large bat infestation that needs to be treated immediately. Call a local pest control company to properly inspect your home for other bats.

Pest control timelines depend on what services are being provided, size and type of infestation, and size of your home. Some inspections can take an hour or more, while preventative treatments only take 30 minutes to complete. Basic spaying for a problem like roaches or termites can take about an hour for small homes, but much longer for large properties and infestations. Consult your pest control pro for a time estimate based on your situation.

Trees that provide a habitat to bats and an abundance of bugs—their main food source—will attract bats to your yard. Because the North American landscape has changed so much in recent years, bats have a harder time finding trees with cavities to shelter in. If your yard has a dead or dying tree with a lot of sun exposure, bats will likely be drawn to it because trees with those features are less common.
