"Dusty was able to clear out 3 large house sparrow nests, reinstall 2ft of flashing they ripped off, seal up 2 entry points, and add a gutter spike in less then 2 hours in 90 degree heat. The birds are ticked and it was a great experience. Thank you!"

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"The crew did a fantastic job, took a great deal of pride in their craft, and did things so that the house was not just an ordinary siding and trim job. This was not an easy job with many angles and a lot of trim work covering the entire house. The President of the company was very professional and took a lot of time to answer all of our questions before and after we chose them. The crew was also very professional and took the time to answer any questions during the project. The cost was set prior to the start of the job (there were no extra expenses of any kind.) Weatherguard seemed to go over and above to insure that everything was taken care of in the manner we wanted. While there were a few issues (water leaks during the install due to rain, paint spill in the driveway, torn screens when old siding was removed), the crew and company were very quick and responsive to resolve everything that came up. There were no hassles. The overall experience from start to finish was outstanding."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Rabbits face a range of formidable adversaries in rural and suburban areas. Natural predators such as hawks, foxes, bobcats, raccoons, coyotes, and weasels pose significant threats to their survival. These skilled hunters target bunnies for food, contributing to regulating rabbit populations. Outdoor housepets can be enemies, too, particularly dogs and cats. And loud little humans playing in your yard make great rabbit deterrents, too.

Bird and bat pest control involves assessing the site, installing deterrents, sealing entry points, and, in some cases, safely removing infestations following regulatory guidelines.

Hawks might seem like fearless predators, but these smart birds do know what other animals to be cautious around. Hawks are naturally wary of humans and predators that see them or their eggs as a potential meal or threat. This list includes owls, crows, eagles, and even snakes or raccoons.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.

Strong scents like peppermint, rosemary, lavender, citronella, and others can repel woodpeckers—as pungent smells can overpower their senses. For that reason, you might consider making a homemade spray with one or a combination of these scents to spritz around areas of your home where woodpeckers frequent.
