"We absolutely and always take the animal’s well-being into account. It is absolutely false that the animal was trapped for more than 24 hours. Our client’s maintenance personnel checks the trap at least daily, and without delay reports findings to our office. For the better part of the day the animal was in the shade, and as soon as it was retrieved our technician provided it with water to ensure it was hydrated. Consider that this animal had taken up residence in an attic, where it is routine for temperatures to reach 130-150 degrees during the [Member Information Removed] months. The trap set location on the rooftop is far from that temperature, and has the added benefit of mild wind and breeze, of which was present on the day in question. Permakil follows all state and federal regulations completely and it is simply untrue to suggest otherwise. FURTHERMORE, WE HAVE, IN THE PAST CANCELLED CLIENTS THAT DO NOT COMPLY WITH OUR PROTOCOL TO ENSURE ANIMALS ARE TREATED HUMANELY. This includes our requirement that the customer perform a visual check of the trap every day and report back to our office no later than 10:00am. While it is admirable that you are concerned about the care of the animal (as we are), especially in this day and age when humanity seems to be greatly diminished, it's truly unfortunate that you didn't call our office to inquire before simply complaining on several social media platforms with false and misleading statements."
"This customer was given the fee in advance of scheduling the service. In fact, I made you wife aware prior to scheduling the work that due to the pests involved and the source of the pest, I didn't feel comfortable that our treatment would be successful until the water source and mold growth in you home was corrected. I'm sorry that you feel we are expensive but as previously stated, I made it very clear the cost of service and the expected outcome, including that I didn't recommend doing the work until the source of the pest issues was corrected. Yet you wife, who was very nice and fully understanding, knew what to expect. As with anything in life, I'm sure you can get another company to do it cheaper however, Permakil spent the time to identify the issues, treat the areas where the infestation was originating, communicated clearly with you the next steps. Permakil was very professional, addressed our questions/concerns, and was able to fit us into their schedule right away. We called Permakil with plenty of questions and history, and they were extremely professional, informative and best of all - solution oriented. Over the phone, the owner/manager on duty was able to give us scenarios and solutions to describe to us how they approach BBs thoroughly.
We asked them to treat us even though we hadn't seen activity for two weeks. They were very honest in saying that it might not be necessary for us to continue services, but respected our decision to continue with treatments. It seems like they were very professional and not money hungry.
Before our appointment, we were given proper documentation on what we should expect from the treatment as well as how to properly prepare for the treatment. I appreciate how thorough this prep document was.
They were very punctual with time. They did not work on a window time period, they gave us the exact hour that they would be there, and came at that time. As everyone in my house works during the week, I couldn't be more thankful for that!
Service involved a very thorough inspection and treatment that lasted just about 2 hrs. They treated furniture, base boards, outlets, crevices and cracks with both dust and spray. Our last PCO wasn't even close to being as thorough as Permakil!
The price of Permakil for the first inspection was approx. $623. This price is almost 3x more expensive than my last PCO. I guess you get what you pay for, however I was slightly alarmed by the price difference initially. Because I was completely satisfied with my first session, I was not too upset by this, but it does make these services a bit more of an investment for me.
Overall, I really appreciate the professionalism of this company and how knowledgeable and articulate everyone is at Permakil. I will continue to use them until we are activity free for awhile. Will update with any thoughts from following procedures as necessary.
