"Amazing one day installation Very satisfied with the final result. Excellent presentation of the process and quality of materials and details. Only critique is that I am waiting for the placement of the last roof vent. A minor issue but it has been a week since completion. "From the start most importantly I was informed. The sales rep was fantastic. Highly recommend Jake. They had so many choices and so many payment options. Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Composite material doesn’t warp in high temperatures the way some kinds of vinyl siding can.

There are several highly durable types of siding that you can build right on top of without removing it, with wood being one of them, provided it's in excellent condition. However, a common reason for siding replacement is to eliminate materials that are in poor condition, making installing new wood siding over old not recommended. Additionally, the cost of adding siding over existing siding can increase costs to between $7 and $13 per square foot.

Some homeowners use caulk on the edges of clapboard siding to help seal it. However, this method invites new problems.
