"I reached out to TW Drywall to finish a closet/ pantry, which was a small job but that didn’t matter to Tony. TW Drywall did an excellent job. They were prompt, professional and cleaned up any mess that comes with this type of work. TW Drywall is the real deal and recommend them for your next drywall project. Thank you Tony and Dee!"

"Richard has replaced drywall on existing walls, covered an exposed garage ceiling, and repaired water damage for us. On his first job for us he framed out two new closets and sheetrocked them. All his work has been professional and high quality. We highly recommend him and his team for any drywall or framing projects."

"Bennie was Awesome! I had a leak that damaged the drywall ceiling in my basement. Bennie called me within 2 minutes of requesting help at 7:00pm, and set up an appointment for the following morning. He came on time and did the repair that day. Cost was less than what I was expecting, and the work was excellent. He cleaned up the mess afterwards and swept up all the dust. This was the most efficient and professional service I have ever received. I would highly recommend him. He does other work besides drywall as well so I plan to contact him again in the future."

"generally nice people who live in my area, had them do some drywall for my garage, small team but they do good work, simple to deal with, just agree to the price and told them when they can start after the inspection and that was it"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

A post-drywall inspection could uncover many problems that weren’t present during the pre-drywall inspection, including insufficient insulation, missing weather stripping, improperly installed plumbing and lighting fixtures, flooring damage, drywall damage, plumbing leaks, aesthetic issues, and more. Structural problems, which are often expensive to fix and are common reasons to walk away after a home inspection, are easier to see before the drywall goes up, but a post-drywall inspection may highlight minor issues with house settling and foundation problems.

The easiest way to tell if a wall is load bearing is to check if it’s an exterior wall or if it runs perpendicular to the joists above and below it (or parallel to beams). Exterior walls are almost always load-bearing, and walls that run under beams or parallel to them are also usually load-bearing. There are exceptions to these rules, and walls that don’t fit into these categories can still be load-bearing. If you’re unsure, hire a structural engineer to look at your home to assess whether or not the wall is structural.

Yes, professionals often repair minor wall openings made for insulation injection to restore the surface.

If you want to reduce sound transmission throughout your home, soundproofing drywall is a better choice than standard drywall. However, simply installing soundproofing drywall may not completely block out noise. You’ll get the best results from incorporating it into a larger soundproofing plan that includes proper insulation and framing studs.

Yes, if there is mold in your drywall mud and you then use it to build walls in your house—or if mold develops in your set drywall, like it can in hot and humid areas—it can lead to illness. Mold in your drywall (or other parts of your home) can make existing respiratory conditions or allergies worse, and the effect can be more intense for those who have existing health issues or compromised immune systems.
