We have provided hometown service to residents of the Kansas City Metro since 1951. We offer FREE ESTIMATES on a new air conditioner, furnace, boiler, heat pump, geothermal, zoning, water heater, tankless water heater, plumbing remodel projects, and battery back-up sump pump.

"-Warning- One June 27, 2023, this company caused significant damage to our home by improperly replacing a condensation line. On the evening of July 1, 2023, they sent a tech to identify and stop the leak. He apologized profusely and stated that he had notified "people above his pay grade" to dispatch a team to dry the area and assess the damage. On the evening of July 3, 2023, Anthony PHCE (per Tim West), brought in a company (Power Dry) to dry the area (we discovered later that the drying process used was not the industry standard). Anthony PHCE hired another company (Phoenix Restoration) to obtain estimates to repair the damage and test for mold. Once Anthony PHCE received the mold report, Tim West held onto the results for 5 days before providing to us (he first reported the results to us, via telephone, stating that the counts were "off the charts"). He then emailed us the full report that showed toxic levels in the room that flooded and in an adjoining room (per Nick Fink with Phoenix, only 3 areas were tested per the direction of Tim West at Anthony PHCE). Tim West (Anthony) and Nick Fink (Phoenix) also told my husband and I, on several occasions, that we were safe staying in our home...contrary to what was stated in the air quality/ mold report. Tim West also shared with us that they received had received an estimate from Phoenix for $10,000+ to repair/remediate. It was at this point that all forward momentum by Anthony PHCE to repair/remediate stopped and they began shirking responsibility for the damages. To this date (7 weeks+), nothing has been done to repair the area or remediate. Their CEO/owner has yet to return our calls. We are currently living in a hotel with our dogs in hopes of lessening the current effects of exposure and hopeful that we won't have any long term effects. It has become overwhelmingly clear to us that this company has NO concern for the safety and well-being of their customers or their customer's pets or homes. Hey Anthony...you clearly took responsibility upfront, but then pulled back the reins when the company YOU hired gave you an estimate to your disliking...come on...do the right thing!! The "Owner's" response to some of my other reviews made a very random/general comment referencing my review as a "misrepresentation" without any further information/details. In addition, they directed me to talk to their insurance company? What??? I later added this addendum, and much like our requests to speak the owner via telephone, this too has gone unanswered: "Owner": You said my “review is a misrepresentation of what happened.“ If you do not immediately remove the words quoted above, I will let a judge determine who is misrepresenting what. Just so everyone knows who "Owner" is, are you: STEVE BURBRIDGE? An KC based employee of Anthony? TurnPoint Services in Kentucky? OMERS? BlackArch Partners? Who are you, "Owner?" *The tech (Matt) that came to fix the leak was extremely professional, knowledgeable, an excellent communicator, honest, and empathetic to the situation. Many of the techs we have worked with in the past do a great job. Our recent experience with Anthony PHCE's upper management has been deplorable. In my opinion, their actions and lack of action should be considered criminal (complaints have been filed with regulatory and prosecuting entities). I believe they knowingly endangered the health and safety of my family and pets, and compromised the integrity and value of our home."

The goal we set for Hotshot Plumbing is to provide a job done right at a fair price to our customer.

"They did a terrible job. My pipes leaked after they redid them all because they forgot to glue them together and it damaged sheet rock, flooring and subflooring. After the job was done they handed me a bill for 2 times the amount bid and on the bid was all the damages that they cause and fixed. They are trying to charge me for fixing their mistakes."

24/7 Plumbing Emergency Services are Available: We are a small family owned and operated plumbing company out of Topeka, Kansas. We are here to provide the highest quality service at honest, smart, and affordable prices to our customers. Being a home owner we understand the responsibilities and cost of even the smallest repairs. We treat every customer as a part of the family and will not recommend anything we would not do for ourselves.

"Beware! A2B Plumbing used legal threat to intimidate us after walking off the job and refusing to respond to email requests for resolution. The offer letter and subsequent communication, from his attorney claimed no knowledge of damages to my home, poor project planning, poor installation, and breach of contract. He was in fact, requiring extensive additional fees for completion with lessor materials and without correction of damage. (IE: Cut floor joist under deep soak tub, basic plumbing and ordering errors etc…) Even after we paid for a professional inspection, he continued to deny the facts of this contract and is still relying heavily on his vague, poorly written estimate in attempts to avoid responsibility. Even double billing for inferior fixtures while refusing credit for the more expensive ones he could not install. (in the order manifest he left behind with the mess he also left.) Mr. Roach continues to refuse reasonable settlement offers and driving up attorney fees a year later. He has consistently stated he could not “afford” to complete the job then could not afford to settle, then after I forced Insurance assist, he continues to shirk responsibility wherever possible. We have now been informed we will never be able to recoup all expenses... A year later we are still dealing with lawyers and my Bath is still destroyed!"

A-1 Pump has been in business in the Emporia area for the past 2 years. We have worked mostly in the commercial market up to this point, however the acquisition of new equipment and staff has given us the resources to expand into the residential market. We cover the entire east central region of Kansas. We also have 24 hour emergency service available to any customer. As one of our core business segments, A-1 takes pride in offering a wide range of services to commercial facilities. Sewer cleaning services FAQs

In most states, companies that perform sewer cleaning services don’t need specific licensing, but you should always ensure you hire a licensed and certified plumber to get the work done. You can use our state licensing tool to check whether the potential sewer cleaning company holds a plumber’s certification and license. Hiring a certified sewer cleaning services guarantees that the work will be done safely, there won’t be additional damage done to your home, and the problem will be fixed.

The average cost to snake your main sewer line is around $250 for a simple snake. Most sewer line specialists charge between $45 and $200 per hour for main sewer line snaking, so the time involved plays a major role. The price you’ll pay will depend on the severity of the clog, the item causing the backup, how long it takes to remove the item, and more. A more severe issue that requires unclogging a main sewer line will cost $3,100 on average.

There are a few signs of a clog in your main sewer line that you should keep in mind.

Common signs of a sewer line clog:

  • Multiple fixtures in your home drain slowly

  • Drains in your home gurgle during or after draining

  • Water backs up into your sewer line cleanout

  • You notice foul odors in your home

The best way to confirm that your main sewer line is clogged is to hire a professional plumber to assess the situation and use a camera to inspect the inside.

In most cases, drain cleaners will not clear a clogged sewer line, and they’re likely to damage your plumbing. Sewer lines are several inches wide, meaning any material that clogs it will need to be large. Drain cleaner can work on small clogs, but it usually won’t clear a larger one in a sewer main. Drain cleaners can also easily damage and corrode your plumbing with prolonged contact, and a clog will keep the cleaner in contact with the pipes for an extended period. Hire a professional sewer cleaner instead for a safe fix.

You should not attempt to snake your sewer yourself. Accessing and snaking your sewer requires heavy-duty equipment, and while renting is possible, misusing it can damage your sewer main and leave you with very expensive repair costs, not to mention potential environmental issues and severe water damage. Accessing your sewer also exposes you to hazardous sewer gasses, and failing to seal the sewer properly after work can be very dangerous. It’s always best to hire a professional sewer cleaner near you to handle this type of work.
