"My husband and I recently contracted Superior Bath to renovate our master bathroom. Our bathroom was outdated and included a garden tub that we no longer used, that took up a ton of space. Superior removed our garden tub and enlarged our shower. The new shower is amazing and we love it. Superior also installed a new vanity with a countertop and 2 new sinks. They turned out very well. We love all of the work that was done and would recommend Superior to everyone."

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.

Options include clay, concrete, and slate tiles. Each offers unique durability, aesthetics, and costs.

Grouting hearth tiles is one of the most important steps. It seals the tiles so heat doesn’t transfer under the tiles so easily, which can be dangerous. For this reason, heat-resistant grout is a must. Grout also prevents dust, dirt, and any other material from gathering between your tiles. If you have asbestos tile and would rather tile over it than remove it, or if your existing tile is completely flat and bonded tightly to the floor, you may be able to tile over existing tile. But experts recommend thinking twice before you do.
