"This is the 3rd review I have attempted to post. First let me say that Keagan Stiner the young man that installed our walk in shower had his work cut out for him. He was proficient, clean, quick, courteous and very hard working. He did an excellent job and our shower looks beautiful. If we decide to do the other bathroom, we will definitely request Keagan be our installer. We cannot speak highly enough about him and his workmanship. Thank you Keagan and Thank you Superior Bath for employing great workers such as Keagan ."

"I recently hired C&A Tile and Flooring LLC to install a kitchen backsplash, and I couldn?t be happier with the results. The quality of the work was outstanding, and the finish was truly top notch. They paid great attention to detail, and the final result looks beautiful in my kitchen. The team was professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in their craftsmanship. Everything was completed neatly and with care, and the backsplash turned out even better than I expected. I?m extremely satisfied with the job and would definitely recommend C&A Tile and Flooring LLC to anyone looking for high-quality tile work."

"The first visit, Niecy and two workers pulled out the washer, dryer, the fridge and stove to clean behind them. I hired her to come weekly. I gave them their own key, their own access code to the security system and we worked out a schedule. Niecy and her employees would let themselves in and out. Everything worked out fine, initially, with the only rule that no one enter my home office. Eventually Niecy left two people to do the work unsupervised and I would come home to unpleasant surprises: the stovetop and microwave would be left dirty. Someone lost my house key, no one told me. So, they were arriving early and forcing me out of my own room so they could clean it then leave the front door unlocked. A door sensor was disabled leaving the alarm system disarmed for a while until I figured that out and fixed it. Although I would find things from my shower on my bathroom floor later; apparently, the house became clean 10 mins after I left since the worker would leave soon after I did."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Like glass tiles, you will not need to seal most porcelain tiles, particularly if the porcelain is already glazed. It depends on quality. Porcelain is very water resistant, but it is not 100% waterproof. To avoid staining, some homeowners use a penetrating sealer. It is also a good idea to seal your grout. Unless you use epoxy grout, grout is very porous and can harbor bacteria, mold, and mildew.

Yes, it’s possible to cut tile without a wet saw; instead, you can use an angle grinder, a glass cutter, a snap cutter, tile nippers, or a rotary tool with a tile-cutting blade. A manual tile cutter or snap cutter works well for the larger tiles that wet saws are typically used for, while smaller projects might just require nippers or a glass cutting wheel. If you’re working with large quantities of tile, however, power tools are best.

The cost depends on the type of natural stone. High-end stones can cost as much as porcelain, but it depends on the specific material. For example, the cost of flagstone pavers is typically $2 to $6 per square foot, which is much more budget-friendly than porcelain. Outdoor slate tile can cost as much as $35 per square foot, which is about the same as porcelain.

Glass tiles are among the most difficult to install. This is because their transparency makes the adhesive visible, and any imperfections on the opposite side are also likely to be visible. Glass tiles also must be handled carefully during installation, as they are prone to scratching. For these reasons, glass tiles often require professional installation to get the most out of their beauty and unique look.

The best trowel for penny tile is a 3/16-inch-by-5/32-inch V-notch trowel. Because of the small size of the penny tile, you want a trowel with small notches that can lay a thin layer of mortar on the surface you’re tiling. If the notches are too wide, you risk applying too thick of a layer of mortar, and it can squeeze out between the penny tiles.
