They had to go and get 6x6 posts and install those. Then they replaced the old wood with pvc materials (my choice) and added trim to the top and bottom of the columns. Then they painted them and they look exactly as I had envisioned - so pretty! They also installed a wrought iron handrail that I had ordered for the steps ."
