Small jobs welcome

Hi there! I have about 9 years of experience with home remodeling, house flips, and currently I am focused more on carpentry (custom closets, interior/exterior trim, etc.) and flooring. I am still open to most home repair needs. I am new to Angi, but feel free to check out some photos of my work in the project photos. I am also willing to share more photos. Feel free to email me at [email protected] or call/text at 3179032308. Thanks!

"Excellent service.  Good communication prior to service and Tim called ahead to let me know when he would arrive.  Tim was very knowledgeable regarding the various plants, shrubs/bushes and trees in our landscaping.  He provided recommendations and was very flexible to meet our requests.  He and his employee worked diligently and did an excellent job.  Would recommend this company for future services."

"Floor looks great.  Really smelled bad for a long time (several weeks).  Once the smell disappeared, it was great.  Did a good job with the painting.  Did a good job with Gladiator wall and cabinet system.  Flooring and cabinet system seemed to be more of his thing than the painting, but he did a good job with all of it.  Again, be prepared for a really bad stink with the flooring.  But, the stink goes away and then you have a fantastic garage floor.

"They did a fine job. It was kind of pricey and it was a little over $1100 for the whole yard and tree removal and all of the work that they did. They were prompt, answered phone calls and answered questions if there were any about the work."

"We bought a home to rennovate and needed a good contractor to help with the major projects. John was great from the start. I had 2 companies provide estimates but it was John's knowledge and manner that lead me to work with him. He was patient until we were ready to start and kept in contact. From the first day until the last he kept us informed. We made a few changes along the way and he was flexible. He kept the project within budget and on time. Each of the workers were friendly and professional. I had a problem with the lighting switch in the kitchen after the project was finished, but they came right back within a few days and fixed it.  I would not hesitate to use them again. They will be my first call on any future projects.

"The process was a joy! After receiving a formal quote, we were given a plan before the work began of when each room or area would be painted. We never felt like we were living in a chaotic state, as we have with past contractors. The prep work was extraordinary! The crown molding was recaulked as were the baseboards. Places where the tape along corners of the wall had cracked now look flawless. Paul is meticulous with his work! We will definitely use him again and are recommending him to all our friends."

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.
