"Chandler came out today in extreme weather and did such a fantastic job installing our new liner. There was a miscommunication at the pool store, so we ordered a liner that was too large for our pool. Chandler quickly contacted the pool store and was able to not only secure a refund for the too large liner, but find a better liner for less money. He picked up the replacement for us without incident. With those setbacks, Chandler worked until well after the allotted time to get the job completed. He exceeded expectations. Chandler was extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend his service and look forward to continuing our newly establish relationship with him as a client. ALL THE STARS!!!!"

"Prompt response to my request for service, great communication...very easy and pleasant to deal with...showed me what needed to be repaired and inspected other things to make sure that they were seemingly all ok. I personally am not a big fan of service fees that are not then absorbed or offset with work that is done, but to be fair as well, it is not uncommon either. I did appreciate the communication and quality of work done, and his knowledge of my hot tub (and just with respect to hot tubs in general) was evident."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

Costs depend on material quality, labor rates, and additional features like lighting or custom finishes.

Land surveys are worth it in several scenarios including selling your home, building an addition, constructing a fence, or making major changes to your landscape. A professional land survey can help you avoid legal issues with your neighbors and confirm the value of your property. In many cases, you may be required to order a land survey to receive a construction permit or mortgage loan.

Land surveying can help give clear guidance on your property boundaries for numerous situations. And in some cases, having your land surveyed is a requirement. Some common reasons to have your land surveyed include:

  • Planning for construction projects, like building a fence

  • Locating utilities, such as plumbing fixtures

  • Settling property line disputes

  • Creating subdivisions

  • Meeting mortgage requirements

  • Selling your property
