"I did not go with the Apex estimate only because I was on a huge time crunch. I went with a company that cost a little more but could start the repair project right away.  It was solely a timing issue. I was very impressed that Mr. Wilson was the ONLY contractor to definitively identify my leak issue accurately and in less than 5 minutes after stepping foot in the house.  He also proved his diagnosis, a window design defect, with a quick demonstration. Luckily we already had new replacement windows scheduled for installation.  His cost estimate seemed very reasonable for the amount of work scheduled. Based on Apex's other Angie's List reviews and the confidence his quick diagnosis built with me, I plan to call on Apex in the future for other remodeling needs. "

"John was found on Angie's list after the first vendor selected proved to be generally unresponsive and uncommunicative after his visit and quote. John proved to be responsive and prompt. He didn't want to give me a firm quote because he wasn't sure what problems he would encounter once he started to remove the loose plaster. He quoted me an hourly rate. The rate was reasonable and his logic made sense

He indicated the job would take several days( chronologically) due to the time needed to let the layers of new plaster dry and then sanding. . But he only stayed on the job as long as necessary each day and then left to do other jobs or whatever.. 

 John works by himself and  is an  old school craftsman that prides himself on quality work. He is meticulous and particular but not speedy. He had his own work pace that was purposeful and planned and took more chronological days than we had expected but we are very satisfied with the final product and knew that the job was done right. 

The final bill at his hourly rate was generally in line with the fixed price quote we received from the first vendor. We would use him again if  we needed similar services."
