"Our hot tub died around the time of some storms. I just wanted to make sure the electrical system wasn't the cause/was okay. He came out when he said he would, went above and beyond by un-wiring the hot tube. We're in a great place to replace it when we have the money. It was well worth the service charge for the piece of mind. Also, he's really great at explaining how things work. I learn something every time we use him."

"This company is exceptional in customer satisfaction. First of all, they were on time, courteous and completed the job with no issues. The equipment they installed was much better than the previous one. I now have a circuit breaker, which I did not have before. They worked constantly in the hot weather and garage without hesitation. The job was finished way before AES showed up to turn the power back on. One of the workers stayed throughout the remainder of the day waiting on AES. Once they showed up, he walked through the house to make sure everything was working properly and explained everything that was installed. He showed me pictures of the damage on the roof and, where he repaired it. He even hauled away the debris from tree trimming that AES done. This was way beyond what I expected him to do. I only wish I had his name, so I can mention him appropriately. I highly recommend this company to anyone seeking electrical solutions."

"Certified Electric LLC is a must for any electrical needs in your home! As soon as I reached out, Brian called and gave us a quote and scheduled a time to install the ceiling fans. Billy came over within a couple days and did a wonderful job! So personable and knowledgeable! We now have a list of things for them to do including adding a new electrical line for our stove! They also support the military and law enforcement! Reasonably priced too, total win! Highly Recommend!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Upgrading electrical systems in Franklin improves comfort by ensuring reliable HVAC, supporting sump pumps during heavy rain, and powering home offices or entertainment systems without interruption. Enhanced electrical safety reduces fire risks and maintenance concerns. With modern wiring, you can add smart home features and energy-efficient lighting, making your Franklin home more adaptable to seasonal changes and everyday needs.

Helpful?

After finishing electrical work in Franklin, schedule a final inspection with the local building department within a month. Keep all permits and inspection records for your files. Notify your insurance provider about the upgrades, and update property tax records if necessary. For ongoing electrical safety, test GFCI outlets monthly, replace surge protectors every few years, and consider yearly inspections due to Franklin’s variable weather.

Helpful?

In Franklin, address electrical projects right away if you see exposed wires, experience frequent power loss, detect burning odors, or notice outlets sparking—these are urgent electrical safety issues that could violate local codes. Homes in Franklin’s historic neighborhoods often have aging wiring, so prompt attention is vital. Upgrades like adding outlets or replacing panels can usually wait unless they disrupt daily routines or present clear hazards.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Franklin can enhance your home’s resale value and appeal, especially in older properties. Modernizing panels, adding whole-home surge protection, and installing smart home wiring are attractive to buyers. Energy-efficient upgrades may also improve insurance options and boost home resale value. In Franklin’s competitive real estate market, updated electrical safety features and reliable systems are strong selling points.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Franklin, keep a non-contact voltage tester, digital multimeter, insulated screwdrivers, and a GFCI tester handy. Because Indiana weather can be unpredictable, surge protectors, outdoor-rated extension cords, and a portable generator are smart to have. Stock up on electrical tape suited for temperature changes, extra fuses, and emergency lighting to handle power outages or seasonal storms common in Franklin.
