Recommended laying floor over existing floor. Convinced me to do so. When they laid the floor they put quarter round along the wood work. The stain barely matches and worst of all they used cheap wood that did not match my kitchen which is entirely oak. The carpentry was amateurish, not much better than doing it myself. When I paid the balance due (50%) in person and spoke with the manager I complained but they acted entirely nonchalant and unconcerned. I plan to have the living and great rooms of the house re-carpeted and they will not be getting the business which is a shame because they are a local business that had previously did a good job carpeting the bedrooms. Only plus was that the installers were polite and did a good job laying the vinyl but obviously were not carpenters.

It was a great experience. Everything was completed in 4 days! We went in to pick the flooring and they came out the next day to give us an estimate. We were lucky the flooring we wanted was in stock therefore we were able to get it installed the next 2 days, while my husband was off work.

Service and process was great from the moment I walked in the showroom.  In Store staff was extremely helpful in helping me decide materials, color etc within my budget. 
Chip the owner did the measurement,  and I had the estimate within a day. 
Installers were prompt, precise, friendly and cleaned up.   I even got a lesson in how to clean my new floors correctly. Communication throughout the install was good. 
An investment of this type can be intimidating.   When shopping for flooring, couple things i considered.  
A:  Big dog flooring uses their own installers,  This was evident to me during my project since the tile installers and wood installers worked very well together.   Knowing who is doing the install, and their experience was very important to me. 
B:  Pricing can vary a lot.  Before choosing on price alone,  give big dog flooring a chance compete.  If it's an apples to apples comparison(same materials, padding etc) , and they can compete, they will. 
C:  Locally owned companies have to fight for every dollar vs big box stores.  In general, they will work very hard to make the customer happy.   I would definitely recommend big dog flooring for any carpet, tile, hardwood purchase.  I'm glad I made the decisions I did.  I have a beautiful new floor and added value to my home.

Everyone at the business was friendly and professional.  The carpet was installed just a couple of weeks after I had picked it out.  They did a great job and the carpet looks great.

Chip, his wife, and their big dog were all extremely courteous and helpful from the start.  They were not pushy and did not try to "sell" us on anything.  We told them what we wanted and they helped us get there.  It seems simple enough but all of the other places we looked at charged for measurement estimates and even charged for the flooring sample to take home.  Big Dog does a free measuring estimate and gives you several samples to take home for free.  Chip, the owner, himself came out to measure the house.  My kids are young and followed him everywhere and he treated them like they were friends which was very nice.  After discussing what all we wanted done and a comfortable price we had workers at our house the following week.  We could have had them the next day.  The carpet was done in a few hours and looks fantastic.  The flooring took 2 full days and looks great.  I had to pull the refrigerator out to hook up the water line and even behind the fridge looks as good as the rest of the house.  They guarantee that they will undercut any estimate by 5% so there is no possible way that you could get a better deal.  I highly recommend Big Dog Flooring and we will be using them again in the future.

I closed on a home several months ago and noted that the flooring needed a replacement.  I called several flooring companies and received a bid.  Big Dog Flooring provided the most competitive quote and had the most prompt response.  I emphasized how important it was to get the work done on time due to the nature of my work and they showed up on time, ready to work.
I showed up to the store a few times to drop off my payment and they all remembered my name, even though I really didn't expect them to do so.  They have been very helpful from day 1 and I would definitely recommend them to everyone.
