Small jobs welcome

"My solar panel system had numerous hardware issues. Ryan performed excellent technical diagnosis of all of the problems. He ordered all necessary components and diligently pursued all of the repairs. Even though my system presented a number of challenges, Ryan completed all of the repairs with outstanding professionalism and excellent results. Ryan is definitely a Solar Pro."

"Well, we looked silly for not noticing the chipped grout in the shower tile that was allowing splashing water to run down the back of the wall into the laundry room. I'm not sure how old the tile is, but there's no cement board behind it so we have to tear out the shower, add cement board and replace the tile. I wanted to do that anyway, so I guess it will be sooner than later.  My husband liked the technician who checked the leak. He also checked the pipes from an access panel to confirm the problem was the cracked tile grout and let me know what plumbing can't be relocated during a remodel without disturbing the furnace.
While my husband was making the appointment for the service call, the scheduler told us they had an AL Big Deal and advised us to buy it. I think we saved at least 50 percent.
I searched the List for weeks trying to find a plumbing service with integrity.  I think I found one.

"Thomas did the work which included having to remove part of my closet structure in order to get to the wall behind the shower. He fixed it and made an access panel to the valve in case we ever need to go into it again."

"Icon Solar did an amazing job with the solar installation on our house. It looks awesome and was significantly less expensive that the other companies that we had quote the job even though they use the same exact inverters and panels. I couldnâ t be happier with how it turned out! I would absolutely recommend this company."

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should tell your home insurance company about your solar panels. Even if you believe they’re covered by your existing policy, installing a solar panel system is a significant change to your home. This can affect coverage and premiums. By discussing your new solar panel installation with your insurance provider, you can be sure you have enough coverage and that the policy completely covers the panels against damage.

You’ll need to make sure you have a big enough solar panel to meet your well pump’s power demands, but you can use solar power to fully operate your well pump. It’s also a good idea to have battery storage to hold the solar power so you can still use your well pump after dark.

Yes, you can connect an inverter directly to your solar panels without solar battery storage if your home is connected to the power grid. However, most pros don’t recommend a direct connection because solar panels don’t put out steady voltage. It’s always best to install a charge controller between your solar panel and your inverter to regulate the flow of energy and ensure a stable power supply.

It’s possible that installing solar panels can lead to mold on the roof. The panels themselves are not the issue. Problems caused by improper installation—such as roof leaks and mounts that aren’t sealed properly—can cause mold. Another potential cause of mold is debris accumulation under panels, which can trap moisture. If you live somewhere with extreme snow, rain, or hail, your home could be more prone to mold.

You shouldn’t hook up a solar panel directly to a battery. That can damage the solar battery and your appliances over time. Instead, install a charge controller between your solar panel and solar battery. Charge controllers regulate voltage, prevent overcharging, and minimize the amount of electrical current to protect your battery from voltage spikes.
