"The drywall and ceiling repairs look great. Kevin was here both days on time and was finished when expected. He covered and protected surrounding areas and furniture while he worked. Cleaned up and put everything back when he was done. Mr Bowersock has many years of experience and it shows."

"IC Drywall offered the most competing quote by far for our drywall repair and install basement job. They were flexible with our scheduling needs, and very communicative. The job was done quickly and professionally as well. I would highly recommend them for your drywall install or repair needs."

Small jobs welcome

"I have a limited income and was needing to find a good quality company that I felt I could trust and was affordable. I got a few quotes. But I felt Nathan Golden was a man of quality and he was willing to work within my budget and well exceed the others I had talked to. His crew was on time, very courteous, and respectful throughout their visit. They power scrubbed my gutters, painted my exterior house trim, front door, & shutters and repaired some wood rotting over my garage door. Since I was about to have surgery & wouldn't be able to do it - at the last minute I asked if they would paint a few of my interior Living Room walls. They did it beautifully and was again, affordable for me. And his team did it MUCH faster than I would have been able to do it. They are all very hard workers. They were here for about 5-6 hours doing ALL of that, everything cleaned up and were gone and my house looking brand new. I've had many compliments from my neighbors. They say it really brightens my neighborhood up. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"George inspected the the damage and described the work he recommended to repair it. His cost estimate was detailed and in line with others. He arrived for the work as a crew of three. They worked diligently and efficiently. The work (in three sections of the house) was done in just over one day."

Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.

It is possible to apply plaster on the interior or exterior of your home, but we don’t recommend it. Plaster is easy to apply in theory, but in reality, it can be a challenging material to work with, and it’s difficult to get the finished product to look clean, even, and smooth. Many DIYers end up calling in a professional afterward to touch up the area or even redo it entirely because of mistakes they made in the process. Hiring a plaster pro will cost more, but it’s usually the best option to achieve high-quality results.

Although they have similar applications, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Their primary differences lie in their composition, consistency, and ideal use cases.

Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it thicker than joint compound. It dries quickly and is easy to sand, which makes it ideal for small wall repair projects like filling nail holes or patching minor damage.

Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum. It is primarily used for large-scale projects, such as taping and finishing the seams on newly installed drywall. It tends to shrink more than spackle and can be more difficult to spread.

While both products can be used to fill small depressions and cracks, spackle cannot replace joint compound for taping and mudding new drywall. Conversely, you can often use joint compound for small patching jobs typically done with spackle.

Regular inspections and cleaning to prevent moisture or pest issues.

On average, repairing a ceiling costs anywhere from $450 to $1,750. However, there are many variables that can impact the price of this project. For example, the type of ceiling material, type and extent of the damage, and local labor rates all affect your costs. Holes and cracks are less expensive to fix, while structural issues and water damage are pricier problems.
