I was only using them due to being recommended by Owenâ  s service, since Owenâ  s did so well I thought he would too. He came out last week and told me he needed to make some phone calls to the county, then BOOM he was gone and now wonâ  t respond at all. Their unreliability is a huge red flag, and I would strongly advise against working with them. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for more professional and responsive service. 1 star all the way."

"I wish I could give 0 stars, honestly. The house flippers that we bought the home from used Radon Environmental during the flip in January to solve the radon mitigation issues in the slab following a different buyer being scared off by the high radon levels. By the time we walked through the house with the inspector in February, the radon levels MORE THAN DOUBLED (over 10 pCi/L, for those wondering.) It was then that I began to be skeptical of Radon Environmental, so I negotiated in our closing contract for the house flippers to pay for everything. This, unfortunately, made me contractually obligated to use Radon Environmental. Trust me, I tried to convince the house flippers to switch companies. To make long stories short, Patrick (technician) made 3 mistakes in the house which made those radon levels spike that high for A MONTH. Each time, Scott (manager-ish) had to come fix Patrick's mistakes. Of course, the owner was difficult to reach (only responds to customers via email, per his office staff) and when he did reach out via phone following my prompting, he made nothing but excuses for Patrick. I am, once again, so grateful that I was not on the hook for cost as they did the house flippers little favors when it came to billing. TLDR; there are better radon companies out there, and I found more than a few in the area with Better Business Bureau accreditations, among other accolades. Give those companies your business instead of these people who turned a small radon issue into a 6 month one. If you do use this company, don't let Patrick near your home."

"First I would like to say that everyone I dealt with at ICSR was great! From Erika who made the appointments to Jeremiah who did the inspection, to Terry and his crew. They were all friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. Jeremiah explained in detail what needed done in my crawlspace. There was a lot of damage due to termites in the past. I knew this was what needed done as I had another Company look at it as well. They backed out because they thought the crawlspace was to narrow to get the work done. I agreed to Jeremiah's plan and about two weeks later Larry and his crew came out to do the work. I will say it again, Larry and his crew were great. They worked so hard and in horrible heat and humidity. They were always friendly and smiled when I saw them. Larry always let me know what they got done that day, and what the plan was for the next. They cleaned up the work area, and took away any and all debris. I have full faith in ICSR and Larry and his crew that the repairs were done right. Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

A septic perc test is done by drilling a hole into the ground, filling the hole with water, and testing to see how long it drains. While simple, the test itself provides a great deal of information about your yard. The last thing you want to do is skip a perc test only to discover your yard doesn’t drain sewage effectively.

The bacteria already present in your septic system should be enough to break down solids in a properly maintained septic tank. However, if you’re in a DIY mood, you can try adding (well-mashed) rotten tomatoes to help the good bacteria fulfill their duty. Just make sure you give them a couple hours to work after flushing them down.

A septic tank always has some amount of liquid in it—which should usually be 8 to 12 inches from the top of the tank. If the liquid level is higher than that or is overflowing the drainage pipe that leads out to the leach field, the tank may be too full and in need of pumping.

A new water well pressure tank costs $300 to $500. If you choose to hire a plumber for the job, expect labor to cost $125 to $200. If the tank is difficult to access, labor will cost more. Diaphragm and bladder well pressure tanks have similar costs. One-compartment well pressure tanks are less costly, but they have a higher chance of waterlogging. Larger pressure tanks cost more and hold more water, but they don’t increase water pressure.

When testing the pressure of your well tank, the psi should be two below the cut-on pressure. For example, if your tank is set to 40/60, then your pressure should be at 38 psi.
