Nineteen years later the company has grown to employ 28 associates occupying facilities exceeding 18,000 square feet. Today Keystone Designs is one of the largest providers of premium solid surface and stone countertops for high end residential, commercial, recreational vehicle, and marine markets in both north central Indiana and southern Michigan. Keystone contracted with the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP) to implement synchronous flow management velocity through the manufacturing process and therefore reducing lead times and improving on time delivery and installation performance. As a result of this effort Keystone has been able to reduce lead times from 3-4 weeks for custom stone and solid surface installation.
