Vent caps placed on wrong vents. Boot for vent improperly repaired. Nails, Nails, Nails, everywhere! Flat tire due to nails. Salesman very helpful. Roofing supervisor had an attitude problem. Finally had to purchase a magnet and picked up many more nails after I was assured that everything was picked up.

On 6-16-22 A&M came out and quoted us $850 to repair part of our roof that was damaged and leaking water into the house. We were told it was a rotten board that needed removed, replaced, resealed, and a few shingles replaced. We paid 10% to schedule the appointment for the first week of September. They came out and “fixed” the problem with only a bottle of caulk. The next day it rained and water leaked into the house again. We contacted the supervisor to come out and see what’s going on, since it clearly wasn’t fixed. The supervisor came out immediately and looked at what was done and said the job was not completed and that they had a shortage of supplies. That’s understandable if we would have been told that when they came to complete the job. The supervisor said they would be out by the end of this week to finish it. They have yet to come finish the job. We contacted their office to see what was going on and the receptionist was unprofessional and rude and claimed they would refund the money, not complete the job, and hung up. We called back to speak with a supervisor and she said she would see what was going on. We were told they called us to tell us it wasn’t a rotten board anymore, it was the window. No one called us or emailed us to let us know what was going on. When we called a 3rd time to explain there was no communication from them the owner grabbed the phone from the receptionists hand, said Gavin (the one who came out originally) was on vacation and the job couldn’t be done this week. We asked why it couldn’t be done without Gavin being here and he proceeded to curse and yell at us that we could “come say it to his face.” I’ve never dealt with such an unprofessional and hostile company before. I would rather pay twice the amount A&M quoted us than to EVER deal with them again.

Not well. While setting up the appointment, the representative asked if I work days or nights. No problem. Then asked if my husband works days or nights. First, this question presumes I am married. Second, the question presumes I am married to a man. It's 2021. I could be a single homeowner. I could be cohabitating. I could be married to a woman. When I responded with "I have a wife," the representative seemed slightly taken aback. Again, it's 2021. Inclusivity is where it's at if you want thousands of my dollars. This was probably a sure sale, since I could get so many of the things I need done through ONE company, if not for that one question. I would rather be inconvenienced than insulted. For future reference: "Are there any other adults in the home and do they work days or nights?" is an easy way to ask this question and would be inclusive of people who have parents, adult children, significant others, spouses, or extended family living with them.

A&M was responsive and professional in my dealings with their employees. Once scheduled, A&M's workers were on time and did a great job with the work.

A & M Home Service did a great job of waterproofing my basement. I had them do 3 sides in 2011 the only thing I would suggest to others is if your are on the fence about getting all 4 sides done get them done. With the big snow melt and rain in 2018 the one side I didn't have done I had water come in that side. Since A & M did very good work the first time I didn't hesitate to call them right away to come and fix the 4th wall. This company has very professional, polite, and hard workers. They treat everyone with respect and show up when they say they will. They do their best to work with your schedule. Having them back to do more work should speak to how satisfied I am with the quality of their work. I can't say enough good things about this company. They seem more like family. Very trustworthy. They were prompt in getting a contract signed and our down payment, then they just forgot we existed. I had to call and call and call. Finally they came out put up a partial roof repair and then a huge portion of roof open to the elements. We had a major rain event the next days and for 48 hours I emptied buckets ans buckets of water than poured into my upstairs and my downstairs like Niagara Falls. They never tarped the roof(open part) at all. They took videos and pictures of interior damage as did I...I took MANY of them. They did nothing to offer to recompense or repair it. Now it has snowed and is very cold and we discovered they NEVER repaired a huge open hole in the back roof. It broke a water pipe, caused a flood, compromised our electrical boxes in the closet and have threatened me to cease and desist posting videos and telling others about this work. They said I was lying and hostile and vulgar and would NEVER EVER fix their mistakes. STAY away from them at all cost. From the first meeting till the end, Everything was great. Estimator was point on with everything and due to his honestly and knowledge-- We choose them over several companies that were lower in price. We are very happy with the look and the color.. The team was on time and finished in one day. We did not have them do the gutters at this time.

Peter Cornett came to view problem, gave estimate to repair roof and for whole house installation, fell then ceiling of living room. 2/2/17 road call to repair ceiling.

Complete roof tear off and replacement in two days . They kept everything clean. Did a great job.

The first time they came out and did the coating it rained and my roof leaked. I called them and they came out the next day and redid the coating around the chimney. They have been out twice since then to make sure we have no further leaks.

I moved into the house two years ago and was told the previous owners had a problem with the roof but they took care of it. I noticed that the ceiling in the family room had been patched from a previous problem but I did not have any leaks in the two years I lived there. I hired A & M to put a coating over the flat roof because they said eventually I would have leaks if I left it the way it was. The day after they did the coating we had a storm and the next morning I found my family room carpet wet and a hole where it had been patched. I called them that morning and they said they would be out in a few hours. My Dad had to wait on them all day to get there and then he was told that what they did was not the problem with the leaking. They also said they would do nothing about the hole in my ceiling or my wet carpet because there was damage previously. As I had stated, I did not have any leaks before they did the work. I am paying them for the work but I will not recommend them.

This was a big project. A&M removed all layers of the roof (at least 2) replaced all sheathing needing attention, covered the bare wood with the several layers of material required to protect our home and allow this 50 year roof to comfortably weather and age. The end result is a total transformation of our home giving it a level of character it lacked due to the dull appearance of flat asphalt shingles. Mike Alexander, Jared McQueen and Gavin Taylor were easy to work with and they had our best interests in mind through out this process. The cost of such a roof is hard to justify but from an economic view point, my roof is maintenance free, and as we work out of this recession I imagine I'll experience an appreciation in the value of this investment. If not - piece of mind counts for something. The finished result equals my expectations making me very pleased.

A&M has this masonry wizard named Randy who arrived with his crew and within 2 days had all loose and crumbling mortar replaced making my 58 year limestone façade look like new. He also acid washed some discolored areas including my nearly grey chimney giving it new life. Everything we discussed was done to the point it equaled my expectations which are usually pretty high.

A&M arrived and within 2 days I had a new roof. I've lived in this house for 30 years and for nearly everyday of those 30 years I was trying to chase and repair the source of a leak that damaged ceilings. I spent much more money than I should have and while the contractors that worked on the leak problem were well intentioned they all failed. A&M sized up this problem quickly and had the old roof totally off on day one and the new roof in place on day 2. Their solution involved a foam product that filled all nooks and crevices covered with a strong vinyl top layer. The only negative is that the foam can result in some over spray which if brought to their attention. They returned to clean it up. Its best to remove or cover over anything you don't want little specks of foam to hit. I'm pleased with the end result and they had it done before the epic rain that hit our area. Timing is everything.
