"Sat at 6AM my well sprung a leak and a gusher was shooting out of the ground. I call CJ at ^AM and the owner Josh answered (wow!). He said his excavation crew couldn't come come until Monday. I had weekend guests and wasn't too keen on going all weekend with no water in the house. Joosh asked me a couple questions. Do have a basement (yes I did) and is there a window in the basement (yes there is). From that he offered to send a crew to hook up a temp water supply to the house to get us trough the weekend. about 10AM on Sat two CJ repair guys showed up and hooked a bypass line from the well head through the basement window and tapped onto the main water supply line in the basement. What a life savor idea and our weekend went WELL ( no pun intended). Then on Monday morning the excavator crew shows up at 10AM and by 1PM the leak in the well pipe in the ground is fixed. I guess the u Bolt holding the pitless adapter to the casing rusted and broke, thus the water was pushing out as the pitless seal was now loose. The CJ crew explained all of this and kept me informed. My experience with Josh and his crews at CJ was top notch all the way! Thanks Josh for answering your phone on Saturday at 6AM repairs"

"

The job went extremely well and English Excavating left my yard in surprisingly good condition.

It was a very challenging project as there was a gas line and sump line to work around and there was only 5 feet between the house and property line.  They discovered that my fireplace foundation was very shallow.

Mark English thoughtfully solved all of the issues and did not charge me extra.  I am very happy that I hired this extremely experienced and reputable company.

"A lot of people said you need to get a least three quotes before you get something done from a company. When I had my fourth or fifth quote I know this is the guy I want for my new a/c. He did not pay me to write this review but this purely costumer experience. He and his crew are right on time, told me the expectations, clean work and he treated me like a real customer. His quote is competetive from the other and he is very professional. I get to know the whole crew from Roy, Dustin, Wes, Marvin and Dan because they are personable. Roy and his crew went above and beyond by putting a new lineset to where the old one was located and it was a very difficult job to do but they got the job done. My wife and I were happy with result. If you need a new HVAC or just a repair look for the one that is local just like Roy Rogers don't go with a nationwide chain. I highly recommend this company."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

The cost to draw house plans typically ranges from $800 to $2,700, with standard blueprints averaging around $1,800. For a custom home, the cost is higher, with blueprints often falling between $5,000 and $20,000, and potentially more for very complex designs. Several factors influence the total price, including the project's size, the number of rooms, the type of drawings required, and the architect's experience level. You may also need to pay a structural engineer to ensure building safety, particularly for custom homes.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

Custom homes can take an average of 18 months to build, mainly due to the lengthy design process, and most projects take somewhere between 12 and 24 months. When you work with the right custom home builders near you, they can help you map the road ahead and understand what can speed up or delay the timeline. Choosing locally available materials, for example, can speed things up without losing that customized touch.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to create unique structures. Confirm with your contractor.

Costs depend on project complexity, materials, labor, permits, and required revisions.
