I’ve had a vision of my dream home since I was 14 years old. I finally found the property to build it on and saved the money to build it. The only thing I needed to get started was the builder. After a few months of researching, I found GuyCo Homes & Remodeling and met with Jon Guy the owner. GuyCo helped us with our house prints and every detail we needed to build our custom home. We used the Cost-Plus plan to build our house, and it worked well since my wife and I kept making changes. I’ve built two other houses previously using local cookie-cutter homebuilders and the GuyCo process was way more detailed, and the finished product was much better quality. We got our dream home and plan on enjoying it for many years to come. I wouldn’t use anyone other than GuyCo Homes & Remodeling for any building or remodeling projects in the future. The Guy Corporation renovated our two upstairs bathroom. Everything went as they said it would, including the schedule which I really appreciated. The bathrooms are beautiful. This work was done several years ago and the bathrooms have held up wonderfully.

GuyCo Realty has represented my husband and I when over two new construction builds and as we sold our first home to upgrade to a larger home after we outgrew the first. Professionalism and client care are above any expectations we could have had. Our realtor, Melissa, was always there and ready to fight on our behalf through every step of the way. She always had nothing but our wants, wishes and well-being as her primary agenda. Her knowledge in the building process and the behind-the-scenes happenings helped us not only track the building of our home, but she stepped in and ensured the builder did not cut corners and asked the questions we would never have known to ask. Her extensive experience in building, remodeling, and design became noticeable as an out of the norm realtor that can offer more than just support as you buy or build your home. She came with us to our selections meeting with the builder and helped us with our design selections, often serving as the sounding board if my husband and I did not see eye to eye on a selection. If you don’t think you need a realtor when building a new home, let me tell you that is far from the truth. You get more than a realtor when you select GuyCo Realty. They are your only option when buying or selling a home! You WILL be pleased with the service you will receive.

When you make the decision to buy a home it is an emotional journey. Most people do not have their own realtor when building in a new home. They walk in to a model home, and trust that the person working in the model is looking out for them. This person works for the builder. It is important that you have someone that is looking out for your best interests. Melissa with GuyCo made the entire experience much less stressful. She was with us every step of the way to ask questions we did not know to ask. Having someone with knowledge from the building side as well as the realtor side is an added plus that many realtors do not have. She taught us many things about buying a home that we did not know. A home purchase is not something that you will do more than a few times during your lifetime. Having someone so professional and looking out for your best interest will make the process so much more enjoyable. We are now in the process of selling our current home and have listed it with GuyCo Realty.

We've used Guyco for several remodel projects-they are the only remodeling company we would consider at this point. For this project, we have an older home that had drainage pipes installed under the foundation. The pipes had rusted out and needed replacement. We used another local company to get the job completed quickly but the resulting mess included a ravine through the entire width of our house. The other company did basics to finish the project-replaced pipes and slapped some concrete over the work. We had Guyco come in and replace all of the flooring in the lower level, a full bathroom remodel as well as waterproofing some areas of the foundation that had water damage. We were kept up to date on any work being done. We knew who was going to be at our house on any given date and what work they would be performing. We knew what work would be happening in the coming days. Guyco uses subcontractors but oversees any work they do-checking their work and checking with us to see if we have had any problems or concerns. The area where work was done was kept clean (and on the odd occasion that it wasn't clean, Guyco took care of the problem and spoke with the subcontractors. The offending workman either never worked in our home again, and/or the company providing the contractor cleaned/redid the work to our satisfaction (and Jon's satisfaction, which a much harder standard to meet.) Our project was completed and we have a beautiful new bathroom, new flooring that works much better for the area, a remodeled bedroom/storage area and the dampness around specific areas of the house has been removed. We would absolutely hire them again for any home project. They are the ONLY company we will consider. We do not have the time nor the desire to oversee another company in our home and with Guyco, we can relax as we know the job will be done correctly.

It went extraordinarily well. Our bathrooms turned out beautiful. The workmanship was impressive. Mistakes were corrected and after repair, the final product was better than the original. In particular, our attic is now vented after almost 20 years of not being vented. The house was kept immaculate during the process. The subcontractors used by GuyCo were fantastic. The tiling in our bathrooms was top notch. Our master bathroom after removing of a built in garden tub which just seemed like a waste of space for us now seems like it could be used to host a dance party. The new shower stall is a joy both aesthetically and functionally. The kids are enjoying their new bathroom as well. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased.

I hired The Guy Corporation to renovate our suite at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We had an existing suite, and had obtained a second, adjoing suite for this year. The project was on a tight deadline since IMS did not turn on electricity to the suites until March 23. The suite renovation needed to be done prior to a sponsorship event we were hosting on May 9. Not only did it get done in plenty of time, it looks fantastic. We received rave reviews the entire month of May and the craftsmanship, the ideas that Jon presented and his management of the project was unbelievable. He walked me through every phase of the project, guided me to make the right decisions for what would look good, last, and provide a platform for additional renovations and upgrades to the suite. I received daily email updates regarding the status of the project. It was a process that worried me at the start, but once Jon and his team got involved, I was put at ease very quickly.

My remodeled kitchen looks wonderful and is everything I imagined. Jon and team were great to work with. They have great attention to detail and make sure everything is delivered with high quality. Remodel included removal of a wall and total remodel of the kitchen and family room area.

With weather, the project was delayed a little bit, but the final product is great. Jon and the company are very professional, and provided very frequent communication on the project. I feel confident that details were paid attention to - both those that I was aware of and those that I would not have thought of. For example, part of our addition involved finding bricks to match the existing 40+ year old weathered brick - not an easy task, but with numerous tries and sources, Jon was able to find a nearly perfect match. The only issues related to a couple of less-than-responsible subcontracting crews, but Jon made sure that these things were fixed. I would certainly use Guy Co again for future projects, and even after this one was completed Jon and his staff have been very responsive to questions that came up.

The work was done in a very efficient and timely manner and at odd hours.

This is the second project we have contracted with GuyCo. Both experiences have been very good. Of particular note, the daily communication provided during the project is excellent. The company owner and project managers have always been very responsive to any issue that may arise during the project. Problems are resolved quickly and completely. We were highly satisfied with the final result. We certainly would use GuyCo again for any future home improvement projects.

Jon was so sincere and truly honest. His perfectionism and integrity made the project enjoyable. It truly is a family company with shared ideals.

The experience was very good and we are very pleased with the results. We contacted GuyCo based on reviews on Angie's List, along with two other potential companies. The GuyCo estimate was the most thorough, and their process is very well defined. They are clear about what the homeowner should expect through each stage (e.g., design, selection of materials, demo, etc.) and proactively ask for your feedback throughout. Jon Guy is personally involved to check in on status and to respond to any questions. GuyCo is very responsive to the customer, and goes out of their way to minimize disruption to the household. They are also very good at explaining the impact of choosing one approach vs another so the customer is clear on how the work is being done.

We love our new kitchen and great room, and we have the Guy Co team to thank for it.  Guy Co invested a lot of time up front to be sure we were getting exactly what we wanted, to set expectations, and to provide input based on their experiences.  The expertise in all aspects of remodeling - structural, plumbing, electrical, gas, hvac, finishing, all the way through decorating -- gave us a great deal of confidence that we would not have to worry about things being done right, and Jon and the team did not disappoint.  GuyCo was very concerned with our comfort and the ease of living in a home under major construction throughout the process.  I was amazed at how clean the area was every evening, and that the rest of the home was in no way effected by the construction.  
The kitchen came down to the studs, and plumbing, gas, and electrical lines had to be moved, in addition to a great deal of cabinet making and other skilled wood work.  We started with a 3 seasons room that had been converted from a porch before we moved into the house.  This room was off of the family room, but they were separated by a wall and french doors.  With Jon's guidance we created a vision for what these two rooms could be when combined.  It involved raising the floor in the 3 seasons room, running hvac and electrical into the room, and removing all of the windows and replacing them with new ones as well as a sliding door.  In addition, there was a significant structural challenge in opening up the space between the two rooms.  Jon's skilled craftsman did an incredible job.  I was fascinated watching the process of opening up the rooms, and the skill and knowledge that went into making it work.  
We hit a significant roadblock when it was discovered that the long-ago conversion from porch to 3 season room was half-hearted, at best.  The previous owners had put plywood on the ceiling and plastered it, the bottom of the walls were allowing water to seep into the area, which had been pooling for years, and there was a significant ant colony discovered where insulation had been shoved in behind some drywall without any kind of seal.  Every project has things develop, and we knew there'd be something with this one as well.  We didn't expect it to be so significant, but we also couldn't have been happier with how it was handled.  Jon provided us with options right away, and took action immediately once a decision was made.  
Another key member of the Guy Co team is Jon's wife, Melissa.  The help she provided us with color selection and decorating was invaluable.  Other help outside of the house included Jon advocating for us when we had issues with those supplying appliances for the newly finished kitchen.  
We feel like we have a new house, without having to move.  Everyone who comes over comments on how open and beautiful our home is, and we couldn't agree more.  Thank you, Guy Co!

When working with contractors, communication is always an issue.(especially since I have limited phone contact during working hours, but can use email)



Jon Guy and his crew have been WONDERFUL.  Communication has exceeded all expectations.  Their attention to the project and identifying issues before the project is started has been phenomenal.



They've been very flexible and accommodating of our schedules.

We have been so pleased with their work, we've already contracted them for additional projects!

We refered Guyco to a friend after they had done such a wonderful job on our outdoor entertainment space.  She was thrilled with the results and has said several times that she'll never use another designer/builder.  I can't say enough wonderful things about how honest John Guy and company are.  The workmanship is exceptional, crews are polite and clean up completely each evening, and work very hard.  If you want cheap and quick, this isn't the company for you.  If you want a builder for a lifetime - one you can trust - this is the best of the best.

GuyCo hires sub-contractors.  All are experts in their fields.  They take you to the tile store & to the plumbing supply store.  They provide a nice dumpster.

The overall job was very good, but we did have a problem with one of the subs leaving supplies in the wrong place.  The people from Guy came and moved the material.  This was after normal working hours.  That was why  I hired them to remodel the master bathroom.

It was a rocky start from the contract signage in May to finally starting on the project in June. Much of that late start was due to all of the rain Indiana experienced in the month of June. The end result was excellent though. My siding looks good and my new windows look great. Jon Guy, owner was an excellent communicator. He frequently emailed me on what to expect every step of the way and came to the site frequently. The employees who worked on my home did an excellent job and made sure that all areas were clear of debris. The original price started out good and complications began to arise so the price continued to increase. I ended up paying over double the original price so that is why I rated the price as fair.
