At PG Plumbing we have a simple yet powerful reason for starting our plumbing company: to bring a breath of fresh air to the plumbing industry in Fort Wayne and Allen County.\n\nWith the rise of large corporate plumbing conglomerates, we noticed the disappearance of the small, locally-owned plumbing businesses that once thrived in our community. This inspired us to step in and make a difference.\n\nOur mission is clear: we are here to provide our customers with cost-effective, personal experiences rather than prioritizing profit margins. We understand the frustration that often comes with plumbing issues, and our goal is to alleviate that stress with a service you can trust.\n\nWe invite you to choose PG Plumbing a local, employee-owned, reliable, and trustworthy team, for all your plumbing needs. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are committed to providing you with the best service possible. Thank you for considering us as your plumbing partner in Fort Wayne.

"I tried everything I could think of to keep out the 14" of water I would get in my basement, then I hired another company (shall remain nameless) just to have their system ripped up in 2 and a half short years because they would not honor their warranty. As a last ditch effort before bulldozing my home or filling my basement in with stone and making it a crawl space, I called EverDry of Michiana and to my surprise, the price was very reasonable compared to other companies. I live in an area with a very high water table and keeping water out is a major issue. The install was almost effortless on my part. I had some issues later and was very pleased that EverDry honored their promise to come back out and do what needed to be done (like adding more finger drains) to keep the water table below my floor. I would highly recommend them and gladly write my yearly check to keep my warrantee active. A+ in my gradebook. JLW Lake Village, IN"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Look for visible white or yellowish mineral buildup at previously repaired joints, as Bluffton has hard groundwater that causes premature failure. Check older homes for mismatched pipes, like galvanized steel connected directly to copper. Gurgling drains or sewer gas odors also indicate improper venting. Address these issues promptly by hiring a licensed professional to ensure your plumbing meets current IN code standards.

Helpful?

Protect your family by ensuring anti-scald devices are present at tubs and showers. During any plumbing project in older Bluffton homes, test for lead if copper pipes have lead solder. Keep crawlspace access doors securely closed after work to prevent cold air and pests from entering. Fill all drain traps with water to block harmful sewer gases, and always hire a local professional to ensure the work passes safety inspections.

Helpful?

A completed permit with a passed final inspection proves the plumbing meets current Indiana code. Look for proper pipe insulation in unconditioned spaces, which protects against local freeze risks. Correctly installed drains clear quickly without gurgling, and proper venting leaves your home entirely free of sewer gas odors. The presence of dielectric unions connecting dissimilar metals confirms the contractor accounted for local water chemistry to prevent corrosion.

Helpful?

Brown or rust-tinged water accompanying a minor leak indicates systemic pipe corrosion inside older Bluffton homes. Slow drains occurring in multiple fixtures simultaneously signal a main sewer line blockage rather than a simple clog. Gurgling sounds or persistent sewer odors after a small drain fix point to widespread venting failures. Water stains on crawlspace joists confirm a leak has been active long enough to compromise the surrounding wood structure.

Helpful?

Delaying plumbing repairs creates severe hazards in your home. A minor leak left unrepaired entering winter introduces a high risk of burst pipes due to freezing temperatures across IN. In older neighborhoods, tree roots expand rapidly inside aging sewer lines, turning slow drains into complete blockages. Additionally, postponed leaks in crawlspaces cause mold growth and structural wood rot during humid summer months. Address every leak immediately to protect your property.
