"Will NOT refund money even though requested in proper time. And the money is significant--it is over 4000--yes over four thousand NOT 400 hundred. And I signed a different contract than the one I originally saw--igt was done on an I-PAD... Totally absurd, ridiculous, and criminal. When I called to request my money b/c I had lost a couple jobs in a short period, the guy who originally assisted me (Pretty Nice, Cool Guy--Steve) said the company would NOT refund my money. I requested my money prior to them measuring and ordering material. And the quote to do the bathroom was absolutely ridiculous-- OVER $14,000 to do a bathroom. And I had just done a bathroom--for under 5,000--so I was NOT thinking to originally agree... Craig G--is a snake. He reports will do something (refund money), than when he buys some time (passed the legal time for me) than he switches... TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT!!! I'm NOT DONE. There is a few surprises coming.... BEWARE!!! RUN!!! If I could leave no stars I WOULD!!"

"Terrible. It took over a year and they still didn't finish the house. Project was over budget, our savings on allowances for things we chose for the house were rolled into contractor profit rather than passed onto us as a saving. At least one item was drawn upon twice. Because either no sump pump was installed, or the sump pump failed, personal effects that were moved into the basement before project completion were either destroyed by water damage, or mysteriously disappeared. Contractors were absent from project for weeks at a time and could not be reached for comment. Certain things were not done to code: Example being the dryer vent that was more than twice as long as code permitted and had multiple bends. That had to be re-routed. Eventually we had to fire them and finish the project ourselves. The only positive thing I have to say is that the work that was done seems to be of a high quality."

Pavers and Hardscaping questions, answered by experts

Pavers come in diverse shapes, colors, and patterns, allowing for varied creative designs, including contemporary or traditional layouts personalized to taste.

Yes, you can use a Dremel to cut pavers, but you’ll need a masonry cut-off wheel and a Dremel that accepts a 3 1/2-inch cutting wheel. Slowly run the masonry cut-off wheel along your cut line, and then continue making shallow passes. Once the cut is about 1/8 inch deep, you can drive a chisel into the center of it to complete the cut.

Cobblestone driveways can take a major hit on anyone's bank account, begging the question of whether it's worth it to build a cobblestone driveway. Some homeowners might prefer more affordable driveway materials like concrete or pavers, which can give a similar appearance to cobblestone without the high price tag.

Paving your driveway costs between $2,500 and $6,600, to put that in perspective. But for others, there’s nothing quite like the timeless look of cobblestone driveways.

Asphalt driveways are affordable and able to withstand sub-zero temperatures. The asphalt surface makes it easy to plow snow, and it has excellent traction for slippery winter days. Another benefit: it absorbs heat from the sun and can then help to melt snow and ice more quickly than other surfaces.

The recommended minimum amount for a paver base is 4 inches. From there, it depends on the kind of traffic the pavers will see and the current soil conditions. Two inches of paver base won’t create the amount of stability and support that pavers need to remain securely in place over time.
