"He did the job and it ended up being $200 (40%) more than the quote, although it seems like maybe it was more complicated than he anticipated. He did drop the vent onto the stove (he hadn't properly secured it to the wall). Everything worked fine, although there was a minor scratch on the vent (it was a new install). I would have appreciated a discount after that or at least to honor the original quote."

My name is marquise Sanchez I install all major household appliances. I have delivered and installed all major appliances for about 10 years. I’ve worked for companies such as home depo, Best Buy, and sears. I deliver quality service. I’ve travel to Indiana, parts of Michigan, and majority of illinois. I also can change valves for washers due to corrosion and valves for gas appliances as well as dishwashers and fridges. By trade I am a field service tech for electronic alarm systems (burglar, fire and CCTV) for over 8 years. Familiar and capable of many other trades. I handle almost all issues, repairs and upgrades for my own home. Any and all work I perform I treat it like my own home. I have too much pride in my work to do sloppy work.

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

A local small appliance repair company or technician is your best bet if you’re looking for someone to service a small appliance. Homeowners more often look for major appliance repair specialists, meaning the demand is higher, as is the number of companies that handle the repairs. If you’re looking to repair a toaster, microwave, blender, or other small appliance, you should hire a technician that specializes in small appliances.

Air fryers rely on hot air circulating around the food to create that signature crispy finish from frying, while deep fryers cook food in hot oil that has been heated to a specific temperature. Air fryers require little or no oil, while deep fryers require a lot of oil, much of which is absorbed into the food. Both methods cook food so it comes out crispy and juicy, but they don’t taste the same—deep-fried foods are often coated in a batter before being fried.

The most common causes of kitchen fires are leaving cooking food unattended, frying food with excessive amounts of oil, and leaving flammable objects near the stovetop.

A dishwasher with a 52 dBA or under is considered quiet or very quiet, similar to a soft conversation or a whisper. Remember that the design of your kitchen and your home layout will greatly affect how far the sound carries.

There are a few ways to reduce your electricity bills if you use window AC units to keep cool. Set the unit temperature at least 1 degree higher than it is currently to reduce costs. Keep the unit clean for it to run efficiently. You may want to hire a window AC specialist near you to inspect the unit once a year and keep it in tip-top shape.
