"It was our third time using The Handy Veteran and it will not be the last. Kevin and his team are absolutely top notch! Our first job with Kevin was to replace and paint all of the wood and trim in our entire house, replace carpet with LVP flooring on a third of the floors in our 3000sqf home, refaced our fireplace, install a new front door, & paint the entire house. Second job was to repair and paint our large deck. This last job was to replace more floors, remodel our guest bathroom and hang multiple lights fixtures. Our first job was in 2020 and the initial work they did is still perfect. Kevin stands by his work. While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space. 

You may end up with extra wallpaper once your project is finished. Hang on to that wallpaper, as you may need to use it to patch up areas that get damaged later on. If you have a lot of excess wallpaper, try getting creative with it. You can use it to line the inside of a cabinet or drawers, for example.

While you could conceivably select any paint finish, paintable wallpaper tends to look its best with a flat or eggshell finish. A higher gloss paint might make the texture pop more, but it can look a bit dated once the paint has dried. And don’t worry about whether a water-based latex paint will loosen the wallpaper. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.
