"IF...youre having a problem or just updating fixtures, Big Wrench Plumbers are the folks to call. They arrived on time. They will access the problem correctly and professionally get it done. They were professional and proficient without being too chatty. They came prepared with shoe covers which is important in my house and did a great job of cleaning up behind themselves too. Any problem or projects I have going forward will be a job for Big Wrench Plumbers. My wife loves her new toilet and faucet. Thanks Cam. Thanks Andre."

"My experience with Charlie was great. I accidentally drilled a hole in the gas line that feeds all appliances in our home on a Saturday morning when trying to drill in to hang a TV mount. I knew enough to immediate turn the gas off and call our gas company who came out quickly and locked my meter...this meant no gas to appliances (oven, hot water, dryer, heat, etc.) until it was fixed. I jumped on Angie's list to find someone close who may be able to work weekends, called several places, and left several voicemails.
Charlie was the only one to call back and came over to check out the issue within a couple hours on a Saturday. He looked at everything, provided me with some background info on what he'd need to do, and instructed me on what I could do to make the job go quickly when he returned in the morning. Charlie and Bernie came over Sunday morning and had the pipe repaired within 2 hours max. I was able to get the work inspected that same day and have our gas turned back on.
Charlie was friendly and thorough, and educated me on what he was doing throughout his work. Any time you need "emergency" service on a weekend it's going to be expensive, but I feel that Charlie's price for more than fair for the work done and the quickness in which he came out to fix our problem.
I plan to recommend Charlie to others in our townhouse community and suggest you give him a call for your next job.

"Jaime and his crews were the epitome of great plumbers. They were knowledgeable, courteous, smooth, respectful, quick, transparent, and the best plumbers who have worked in my house. Jaime is very nice also. I am a Senior and am pleased to meet youth who respect their elders. I will call Jaime and his workers for all plumbing on my house henceforth."

"The tech that came in in was named Tony and was very thorough in explaining the issue. I had a previous company come in and basically tried to con my family and I into spending 10 k to repair the issue while explaining the issue in plumber lingo without being clear on the issue. Tony not only was able to show us the issue but gave me a severely lower estimate on the fox and even fixed the issue for the temporarily to get through the winter which is something the other company neglected to do. I highly recommend using this company."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

You need a pipe threader tool to thread a pipe. This speciality plumbing tool comes with various size die heads to suit different sizes of pipe. The teeth inside the die heads cut through the pipe as you ratchet the die head. You can purchase a pipe threader set or rent one.

Installing a drain pipe costs about $600, ranging from $150 to $2,000, depending on the type of drain, accessibility, proximity to drain lines, and whether you’re installing new drain pipes or replacing old ones. Replacing a main drain line can cost over $2,000, whereas replacing a p-trap costs around $150 on average. Keep in mind that new water pipe installation projects are bid by fixture, like kitchen sink, toilet, or main water line. You can expect to pay $70 to $1,000 per fixture.

The hose bib, named because it connects to a garden hose, can also go by many other names. Although they are different, the terms hose bib and spigot are often used interchangeably. Hose bibs may also be called outdoor faucets, outdoor taps, lawn hydrants, the hose valve, or the hose attachment.

A house has two main water shut-off valves. One water valve location is inside the house. If your home is connected to a municipal water supply, you’ll find it on the perimeter of the house on the side that faces the street. If your home uses well water, that valve could come in from any side. The other main valve is near where your property meets the street.

Ejector pumps can only push sewage 750 feet or less. That’s because their purpose is to move waste from your home to your sewer line—which is a relatively short distance. Grinder pumps can transport sewage further, but they manage lower volumes of waste than ejector pumps (and they don’t work with septic systems).
