"This business, SPS Solutions, and Michael Suljak specifically, under many different business names, is being investigated by the MO Attorney General's office for fraud and other crimes. Mr. Suljak stole over $5000 from us and performed no useful services for this money. He lied about purchasing our generator and he sent us falsified documents in an effort to deceive us. We were contacted by the MO Attorney General as a result of a ripoff report we filed. The state of MO is going after Mr. Suljak for civil and criminal offenses. He defrauded a business in IL for over $30,000 recently as well. He operates under APS Soltions along with many other company names. He has filed for bankruptcy in an effort to get out of having to deal with his financial crimes. Literally everything he did for us had to be redone. The concrete pad he poured was too small for the generator he said he was purchasing for us, his gas line (that he never connected to anything) would have been a huge safety hazard if it had been connected to the gas in our home (according to the gas company who had to come out and redo his "work") and is now a huge hole in the side of our home. Everything he told us was a lie. The other F rated review here sounds exactly like what Mr. Suljak did to us. Don't believe his rebuttal. This man is unstable, a deceiver, and a fraudster. He took advantage of us and then split after getting our money. He belongs in prison."

Full service General Contractor specializing in all aspect of construction, maintenance and repair. We are licensed, bonded and insured. All work comes with 1-2 year warranty. Payments plans are available upon request at 2% interest. We also offer in home instructions for the "do-it-yourselves", at a basic hourly rate. Last but not least also work as a subcontract.

"If I could give zero stars for this company I would. We had our HVAC replaced in May of 2018. Right from the beginning I had issues with Eddie the owner of the company quoting me one thing and then giving me a different price the next time. Both my husband and I felt a little uneasy about Eddie; however, against our better judgment we used him since he came recommended from close friends. After our installation was complete Eddie told my husband and I to call him in one year so he could provide us with our free one time HVAC maintenance. Both my husband and I attempted multiple times to contact Eddie. We both left voicemails and I even texted him at one point. I still have the text to this day that shows it was read. Since the year had passed Eddie refuses to maintenance our HVAC. He says that he never received our messages despite proof. When I asked him if he was calling me a liar he replied, "you are calling yourself a liar." Do not waste your time on this company."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Services by electricians can quickly get expensive, but there are a few ways you can save money in the process:

  • Bundle multiple jobs done at the same time to save on trip fees or flat fees for individual projects.

  • Get at least three quotes for service to find the best deal.

  • Buy fixtures, switches, outlets, and other materials beforehand to avoid product markup.

  • If you feel comfortable with it, have an apprentice or journeyman complete the work under the supervision of a master electrician. These electricians in training tend to charge less per project.

It's less expensive to run power overhead because it doesn’t require excavation, and the power cables are less costly. However, underground electric service is better protected from weather and general wear and tear, so it’s less likely to get damaged. When determining which way to run power, consult a local electrician to get an expect opinion.

The life expectancy of a home electrical panel is typically around 25 to 40 years. However, this can vary based on usage, maintenance, and technological advancements. Regular inspections by a qualified electrician can help determine the condition and potential need for replacement as your panel ages. Factors like overloading, outdated components, or wear and tear might prompt earlier replacements for safety and efficiency reasons.

Yes, you should shut off the power before wiring your doorbell. Even though a doorbell has low voltage, you are still at risk of harm if you choose to rewire a doorbell with the electricity on. There may be other wires present near your doorbell wiring that could have a higher voltage. If you accidentally come in contact with live wires, you could be seriously harmed or even electrocuted.

If you’re interested in exploring other avenues to completely upgrade your electrical panel, it’s also possible to add a sub-panel, which is a smaller panel that connects to what you currently have in place. This way, you can add additional circuits without having to swap out your main panel.
