Founded in a small barn, located in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, by brothers Ralph and Arthur Ibbotson in 1946, Ibbotson Heating & Air Conditioning Company consisted of one employee and a Chevy station wagon. "Requested an appointment for a quote for replacing a 20-year-old inherited system that was failing but limping along. Before the scheduled date, the system completely failed. Called Ibbotson, and they were able to move my appointment up to the following day. Rich was on time, thorough, and gave us a very good quote. He called to verify stock on the unit we needed, and was able to schedule a team for install the next day. Install team was on time and very professional. They took good care to make sure they didn't damage our house or floors. Advised on everything they were doing, and why it was important. Hauled everything away efficiently. No attempts to upsell to things we didn't request/need. Gave great advice on how to keep the system running smoothly for years. On the one very minor "damage" item (leaked a small amount of oil on driveway), they called my attention to it, cleaned it up with a drying compound, and advised on how to make it gone. They could have ignored this/hoped I wouldn't notice. Appreciate the professionalism. Could not have had a better experience. Great team effort between sales office, estimator, install crew."

Sol is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, and I felt very comfortable with going ahead to have his company install a chimney liner. Greg and Gary came about 10 days later to do the installation, and were also friendly, professional and respectful of my home. They politely answered more questions and cleaned up the area better than it was before."

"We bought a large apartment with two Spacepak style Unico air-conditioning systems. We called Northstar and American Vintage Home to come out to service them and get them working. After looking at the two systems both insisted they couldn't be fixed and needed to be replaced at a cost of $25-30k. Looking for a third opinion I called Pawel at American Air Experts. He was great! Took a look at the systems and quickly found one needed to be charged and the other had a shut off switch that had been tripped. In about 2 hours both systems are working as new. Cost me a few hundred dollars. Can't tell you how happy I am with American Air Experts! Total experts and they operate with honesty and integrity."

"I hired Bill to replace the ice machine in my refrigerator. After he installed it, it did not produce ice. He brought over a new one and installed it. It did not work. He tried a 3rd time with the same results. He then blamed the manufacturer claiming all of their ice machines are faulty. He had no solution. I hired another company to look at the latest new one from Bill. They identified the problem within minutes and we’re out of the door in 15 minutes, I had a working ice machine. Bill did not wire it correctly!! For over a year Bill has promised to return what I paid to the company that fixed it. After many texts, he has gone silent. Save yourself the grief and hire someone who is qualified and honest, which Bill is not."
