"Overall working with Dan was a great experience. I had hired Dan to perform an energy audit. I had the attic insulated to R-38, but one room was still rather chilly. I needed the audit to pinpoint the issue. Now I know each area of infiltration and how to address each. Finally, Dan spotted an issue with my hot water heater. I'm especially grateful of this last point. Dan obviously knows his stuff and has the experience to back it up. I highly recommend him for energy audits."

"We had a dirt floor crawl space and a concrete floor crawl space in our home. Both spaces were very cold and nasty looking. We wanted a solution that would help us become more energy efficient and at the same time create some additional storage space. We initially met with a Perma Seal consultant who walked us through what could be done. He suggested we start by installing insulation in both spaces-which we did through another vendor-and then Perma Seal would install their vinyl liner into the space. Long story short the liners are great-the spaces are bright, clean and dry and we now have a lot more storage space."

"Greg, the owner, came out on two occasions to discuss the crawl space and drain tile. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the crawl space industry. We had a few options and he told me about the new spray product he was using. It is this unique seamless liner that is sprayed on after preparing and insulating the area. His crew was very professional and easy to talk to. We had some scheduling conflicts that were easy to work around and get the job done when we needed it to be finished. The difference we noticed in the smell in our basement, the effect the insulation and seamless lining had on the air conditioning in our family room (which is above the crawl space) was immediate. We feel cooler air coming through the duct work since it isn't losing energy traveling through a non insulated space anymore and they basement smells and feels normal since the dirt and concrete is now completely covered by the new liner. That new product is great. Greg's company also did drain tile work in our basement. It was a different crew than the group who did the crawl space, but they were equally as professional and easy to work with. Rather than break up the job into 3-4 days they stayed late the first day to get everything ready and prepared so they could complete the job quicker. The job was done the next day. The price was very fair and the crew was extremely clean throughout thew whole process. We now have a water tight, well insulated basement and we couldn't be happier with the results. I have told several friends about the experience and would recommend them anytime. From Greg down to each of his crew members they really know how to do a good job and work with the customer."
"The work performed on the crack in the foundation of my house was done in a timely manner and the area around the house was left in good condition. I have had no further water problems. As for the insulation. I noticed immediately that the temperature of the coldest bedroom improved after the addition of the insulation. The set-up work area for the insulation was thoroughly clean-up when they were finished. This project took less time than I thought it would. I recommend using "Stop Wasting Energy At Home" for any work needed. "

They’ll use more electricity than the average upright vacuum, but not remarkably more. Most power units plug into a standard 120-volt outlet and don’t have significant power demands. You shouldn’t notice an increase in electricity bills. If you have any specific questions about energy costs, ask your installer as you examine purchase decisions. Larger power units will need more electricity for their suction levels.

If you want a new boiler that’s going to help lower your fuel bills, you should buy one that has a high energy-efficiency rating. For example, a boiler that is rated “A” uses at least 90% of the energy created by the boiler. And in order to enjoy the best performance, it’s important to have it installed properly by a highly-rated tech.
Dryers are designed to use as little electricity as possible, but power is still required to run the motor that turns the drum and to heat an element that pumps hot air. Eco devices are available and may lead to cost savings in the long term, but you should run the figures before committing to an eco-friendly device as they are often much more expensive to purchase.
