"Elite did a amazing job on my house. The gutters and fascia was falling off on two side of the house. When John, the owner of the business, came and gave me an estimate he explained what he felt needed to be done. He explained how my old smaller gutters were not doing the job of getting the water away from the house. He listened to my concerns and we both came to an agreeable price. When the crew came to start the job i was not here but they got to work getting all my old gutters and fascia off. It was discovered the alot of the wood behind the fascia was worn out. They replaced the wood that was needed and had the job complete in two days. It looks amazing and i cant say enough how they did a wonderful job and i would recommend them to anybody that needs kind of repair fascia and replacement of gutters . There web site shows many things they do and would recommend there company for anything you need done"

Small jobs welcome

"Simpson was so wonderful! He showed up and completed our entire project in one day. He took down our old gutters and completely replaced everything. We're talking until 7 pm, the man got the job done and got it done right! We used both 5 and 6-inch gutters. He was shorthanded but took the time to do the entire project professionally and correctly. The quality of the job was not sacrificed. He took no shortcuts, and even skipped lunch so the job wouldn't drag on over multiple days. I'd recommend Simpson for his gutter work 100%. I'm also encouraged he does some other repair work that I may be calling on in the future. Kind. Professional. Punctual. Efficient. I know these aren't qualities that are easy to find in a contractor. Very impressed. -Dustin"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Repairs typically take 1-3 hours, depending on the extent of the damage.

Yes. Excessive pitch in gutters can cause water to flow too rapidly, leading to a decrease in the gutter's water-holding capacity; consequently, during heavy rainstorms, water may awkwardly splash outside the gutters. Ideally, you should aim for a quarter-inch of gutter slope for every 10 feet of gutter run. However, it's important to note that this guideline may vary depending on your home's structure and the type of gutters being installed.

Unless you've chosen to install underground downspouts, your gutter downspouts shouldn't touch the ground. If they come into contact with the soil or pavement next to your home, rainwater can back up into them during a storm, preventing them from doing their job effectively. Instead, aim to have your downspouts end about 12 inches from the ground.

Minor repairs like sealing small leaks or cleaning debris are DIY-friendly, but professional repairs ensure long-term stability and proper drainage.

Buried downspouts can freeze during cold weather as cold water runs through them. If you’ve discovered your downspouts are frozen, you can carefully pour hot water down the top of the downspout to defrost them. If that doesn’t work, you may need to dig your downspout back up. Avoid trying to break the ice from the exterior using a hammer as this can cause cracks and damage to your downspout.

To avoid freezing the future, consider adding a heating cable to the exterior, which can adjust heat based on the surrounding temperature.
