"I have been in construction for nearly 50 years, so I have developed a keen eye for quality craftsmanship. Our project was no small project, so there was a genuine concern that the right company be hired to do our project. After reading J T General Contracting's reviews, I reached out to Jim for an estimate. Again, as I stated earlier, I have been involved in construction for nearly 50 years, so when a contractor shows up for an estimate when he stated that he would, that is a good first step. In talking with Jim about our project, it didn't take long for me to realize that he knows what he is talking about and how our project should be approach. After interviewing two other contractors, it was a no brainer to go with J T General Contractors. Our project just completed today, and I can state that from the demolition of our existing deck, to the layout and installation of piers, Posts, Joists, Trex Composite Deck (with stairs and raised platform for the Spa) and composite Railings, I could not find one flaw in his workmanship. Jim takes a great deal of pride in the work that he is installing and demands that from his employees as well. Secondly, Jim has excellent communication skills, not only in responding to phone calls or text messages, but explaining what he will be doing each step of the way. I would have no problem referring J T General Contracting to family and friends and will be using Jim for our future projects."

They covered my stairs to prevent dirt and damage. Each day they were at my home, they took away all garbage which saved me from having it sit around to garbage pickup. "Jose and Cesar (the owners) were both level headed and easy to speak to about the needs of the project. We're happy with the outcome, and happy to have our bathroom in working order again. We had some superficial water damage to the floor in our main bathroom and decided to have all of the tile replaced in the shower and on the floor. I first met with Jose for an estimate, and was impressed with his easy going demeanor and ability to answer my questions. After committing to using Top Bros., I met Cesar just before the project start date, and was just as impressed with him as I was Jose. When coordinating the start and finish dates for the remodel, I let them know we wanted it completed by dec. 20th. Either Jose or Cesar were usually present throughout the project. They also had a couple of other assistant contractors come on different days. For any questions or concerns I had along the way, I was always able to get a hold of Jose and get prompt responses. They started December 4, and had the bulk of the project finished by December 8. There were a few minor mishaps along the way, but they made every effort to correct issues as promptly as possible. Everything was completed before Christmas. A couple of months after the project was completed, I noticed the new vanity sink wasn't sealed properly to the pipe below it. I called Jose and they came out promptly to fix it."

"I bought the deal planning to have them install new screen doors, weatherstripping a door and other handywork around the house. They contacted me to set up a date, but I did not contact them until close to the expiration date. Angelo said that he was busy but would still honor the deal after the date and to please email me with the list of tasks. After several missed calls and emails, Angelo said that he wanted to come out and see the work needing to be done. When he did he said that it wasn't worth repairing/weatherstripping the front door and that installing a door was a two man job and to let him know when I've bought the doors. Ultimately I changed my mind about the doors and just wanted handywork done. I called on 1/9/14 to set up a date and he told me that he had too much work and that he had recent knee surgery and didn't want the job. When I asked for a refund he said to contact Angie's List."

"Chester and his team were very respectful of working in our home while we were also working from home. They were able to diagnose and fix our plumbing issue, including completely replacing all the cabinets that had been damaged beyond repair. Job was done in a timely manner - especially given the extent of the water damage. Chester and his team were the only contractors who agreed to take on the repairs, after we had several contractors/companies say the job was too big for them. 10/10 would hire again (though hopefully we won't need to!)"
