The project was for replacement of an asphalt shingle roof. When the owner, Scott Osmondson, came to give me an estimate, after looking at the roof, he informed me that it still had some life left (5 years, maybe longer) and that I didn't need to replace it at this time. From my perspective, this is a testament to his honesty. (Other contractors from whom I obtained bids said nothing about whether or not the roof needed to be replaced.) Nevertheless, I decided to go ahead with the replacement. The cost of the replacement was right where it should be for this part of the country. Scott did warn me ahead of time that the cost of the shingles had increased dramatically since COVID so that I would be prepared when I received his bid. The project itself went very smoothly. Scott was at the house every day to ensure that the work was being done properly and the people he employed were very professional and friendly. In addition to installing the new roof, they cleaned out the gutters at no extra charge. When the project was finished, they removed all waste materials so that one would not have known that the roof had been replaced. In summary, if anyone were to ask me, I would highly recommend this contractor.

We are very happy with Osmondson Carpentry's work, and here's why: For several years, we have had a leak through the bay window roof that caused damage to interior plaster. We have had the entire roof replaced, which didn't solve the problem. We had a gutter installed on that roof, which didn't solve the problem. Finally, we posted the problem on Angi and got several responses: The quickest was Osmondson Carpentry. Scott Osmondson came out on a Saturday to examine the roof and the gutter problem we had on the side of the house. The next day we had his estimate, and two days later, his repairman came out and fixed both problems--replacing the bay window flashing and bracing up the gutter--in about 4 hours. The craftsmanship was clean, professional and actually improved the look of our house.

We found his estimate and explanation of the repairs fair and reasonable and asked him to schedule the work. His servicemen arrived as scheduled and completed the repairs in a very efficient manner and attended to the necessary details we had discussed.

Scott Osmondson was great, very professional, experienced, knew exactly what the issue was and how to determine next steps very quickly. Highly recommended would use again anytime. A+

Fantastic! Scott came out to assess the problem (both on the roof and inside our attic), provided what I considered a very reasonably priced estimate a couple days later, and then his crew spent about an hour or so repairing the holes two weeks later. They were even able to reuse the original shingles as I didn't have any leftover from the original roofing job. I also appreciated that they took pictures of what they found (especially since where one of the leaks came from wasn't obvious), which Scott walked me through over the phone. It's rained a couple times since then and no leaks. I couldn't be happier.
