"I sent a request quote to Safe Streets and my phone was ringing within 1 minute. Impressed with the quick responsiveness. They are partnered with ADT which made our choice to get our alarm system through them a no brainer."

"We own a small family operated jewelry store and decided to get ADT for protection and surveillance. Prior, we just had Ring and it was not sufficient or reliable. This has clearer cameras and a much better app experience. Happy with our new system and equipment."

"The entire process with Alert was very professional from meeting with Tony the sales manager to Ming our installer.  Ming was was professional, courteous and did a great job installing all our security components.  He was so quick considering all the components that had to be installed!  He was patient in reviewing how to set up our new passcode, use the keypads, the key fobs and walked me through installing the phone app.  He took the time so we could test everything thoroughly and feel comfortable with the system's operation.  Thank you Alert!

"On time and professional. No headache. Cost a little more than other installers but was worth the cost to not have to deal with an amateur."

"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."

"It was a smooth and simple installation .  I had 3 doors and 15 windows which they sent me individual little connectors that go on each item.  I did all the numbering and data  for each unit and installed each one with minor corrections .  The phone call took a few minutes with minor

"

Since this is an older home the job was more complicated than most. Our walls required considerable sanding and patching. Our living room popcorn ceiling was badly damaged and Iram suggested replacement. A new drywall ceiling was installed and it came out perfect. The project took four days which included drywall and all the additional rooms that needed painting. The painting crew was extremely professional, polite and efficient. They answered all of our questions and went the extra mile to ensure that we were happy. They even caulked areas that I forgot about, but that made a big difference. Actually, the entire job came out much better than I expected and my wife and I were very happy. This company is easy to work with and their prices were very reasonable!  They even provide a guarantee which is reassuring.

Ring Installers questions, answered by experts

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.
