He did not want me to pay for traps when he felt that they were unnecessary so he covered a hole going into my attic to see if the varmints would tear through it again (or if they had already abandoned this nest). "MIB was supposed to come out last week to help me with my mice (ICK!) situation; a computer glitch kept me from showing up on the tech's schedule, and I was NOT happy. MIB offered a deal I couldn't refuse, so we rescheduled for today. Greg called and asked if he could come early, which is not usually a plus in my book, but today it worked well. Nice guy, knowledgeable, got right to work finding holes (there were a few, most of which could be fixed today), and putting out baits and traps. (These mice seem to be enjoying my bait stations, and are wise to my traps. ARRRGGGHHHH.) The spots that couldn't be fixed today, they're under the trim at the roof line, and he said I should get them sealed up when it's warm enough for people to be safely on ladders. Today is most definitely not that day (there's supposed to be an ice storm coming through), so it's on my calendar to schedule that in a few weeks. Today, I couldn't be happier. They should be back in two weeks, and I'll check back with Angie's List then."

"Great thanks to Lou at Critter Detectives. Why? Because something had not worked according to plan from an earlier job they had done at my house, and Critter Detectives came back and fixed it -- no problems, no worries and done properly (within a couple days of my call). Sometimes things don't go the way they are planned and need to be fixed. Critter Detectives did that -- fixing it for me at no additional cost. Originally, the job was to put in a heavy screen barrier between the ground and the bottom of my enclosed porch. It was to be installed all around the front of the house, up to the point where the house foundation starts. The purpose of the metal screen was to stop the ground squirrels from digging in, under my closed in porch where they had set up a huge burrow. I had put in stinky stuff to keep them out and everything else you can think of. Anyway, Critter Detectives sent someone to come do it. Unfortunately, that worker didn't complete the screening installation, stopping a little short of the edge of my foundation. The result that I just noticed a couple days ago? The ground squirrels had found the gap and dug back in, under my porch. It must be quite the underground palace to live in during a cold, Chicago winter. Today, Lou and a different member of his team came and fixed it! No problem. Nice, professional and no worries. I will hire them again if I ever need something. I'm delighted."
