They were very good. They exterminated the mouse and closed the entry way under our porch. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

They came out, did an evaluation of the exterior as well as a video inspection of the plumbing, which is apparently is a common point of entry. They set some traps on the interior of the house, and ultimately recommended that we have extensive work done on the pipes underneath the house to prevent entry into the house entirely. They provided videos and pictures showing us the problem spots, and given the fact that we had rats in the house and were quite desperate to have no rats in the house we agreed. The work was also guaranteed for 3 years so I felt confident it was a good decision. In retrospect, we absolutely should have gotten a 2nd consultation. Year one post services, we had another rat. So they come back out, do another inspection and this time tell us that there is a problem with entry points on the exterior of the house that they can repair, and of course charge us for, since the guaranteed work is the pipes. At this point, I'm mildly irritated, since if this was a potential problem (and much cheaper fix) why did they not identify and correct it before selling us on the almost $5,000 repair solution (about 4,000 for them, and another chunk of change to replace all the flooring that they tore up to do the repair). Regardless, we have them do the repair because we still have rats and would like to not have rats. This past winter it happens again. Rats return. At this point they have completed extensive (and expensive) repairs on our pipes to prevent entry and have also identified and repaired possible entry points around the perimeter of the house. And we still have rats. So they come out a 3rd time, offer to place some traps and do another video inspection, but have no idea why there continues to be a problem. And despite the warranty for the work, as we painfully discovered, there is no guarantee that the pricey solution will actually eliminate the problem. What a waste of time and money. We learned some painful lessons hiring Resolve. Proceed with caution in contracting them to do exclusion work on your home or business. However, lest I sound all negative, I will say in their favor that the individual gentlemen with whom we worked with were always responsive and pleasant to work with. I just wish that their expensive repairs had actually worked.

Some might be more difficult, but we always see a job through to its resolution. There are rare instances like yours that the issue is extremely complicated and it is not fixed after some very specific repairs are made. Obviously you still have an issue based on your review, but you also have a warranty, so that means we will correct your issue and it will cost you no more at this point. That is the purpose of a guarantee. But you did not call our office that your issue continues. We only know that the issue continues if you call us? This review just posted and this is the first we have heard that the issue continues. Every time you called us, we have responded,. We have never ignored this issue. It is very complicated sewer configuration and very inaccessible under that floor and there might be a hidden breech we are not seeing. Regardless we will figure it out. Before I responded to this review, I called you and your wife's phone as well as your landline and no answer. I also emailed you and your wife to see if we can get out to your home as soon as today to see what is happening. We do not deserve an F because we never knew your issue was not resolved. We have no messages from you or emails. How would we know that the issue continues?"

Resolve sent a technician immediately (within 2 hours!) of when I called -- I'm located less than 2 miles from their office. He applied ant-gel, gave me a trap, and explained how it all worked and why the ants were coming in. He was (very) chatty, but got everything done efficiently. This seemed effective in the first week or two, but 3 weeks later, the ants started coming in from another area -- they had apparently been deterred from the originally treated area. Given their 90 day guarantee, Resolve sent someone out again -- this took about 2 days to schedule. This technician applied a stronger ant-gel products and left 2 more traps. This seemed to fully resolve the ant issue. I'm happy with Resolve's good, efficient service. At $180, the service was pricier than I was expecting (but I researched a little more after the service and it sounds like it's in the range of what many providers charge). Due to the service guarantee, the 2nd visit did not cost me anything additional. I would use Resolve again in the future.

We noticed rats burrowing on the side of our building and called Resolve based on Angie's List recommendations. Mike came out the day we called and analyzed the problem. We had a catch basin in our well that was falling apart and needed to be rebuilt. This was the entry point for the rats. We contracted with Resolve for the work. They showed up promptly, rebuilt the basin and cleaned up nicely. We were very pleased and would use this company again.

Mike called the day of the appointment and asked if he could come early; (A pleasant surprise). Upon his arrival, he got right to work with a thorough inspection outside and inside the house. He took his time with his inspection, was very knowledgable, and was able to determine exactly where the entry points for the mice were. He patiently answered all of our questions. He was polite, professional, and very knowledgable. We have an old house, built in 1927. The main entry point is a double door in the basement that used to be a garage door built for a Model-T. Mike offered to come back in a couple of weeks to mouse proof it in a way that does not interfere with the integrity of the house. My husband was concerned that this is an extra expense. Mike addressed his concerns in an honest, forthright manner, offering us options without hard sell.
The philosophy of this company is to focus on prevention. They offer a 3-year warranty once the house is rid of mice. I prefer this to monthly extermination.
I feel relieved that have found the right professionals to handle our pest problem.

38 W Bed bugs, altho basically benign, send many seemingly normal people into hysterics. In the city of Chicago, our feeble-minded city council passed an ordinance that requires all landlords to contract with an exterminating company, if a tenant claims that there are bed bugs present. That's right, the landlord is required to pay an exterminator to solve the problem that the tenant introduced. Not even allowed to do it one's self, using well-known methods and safe, inexpensive household remedies. Just google it and you will find instructions and dozens of youtubes showing simple, successful methods. In Chicago, that is illegal.
Fortunately, Resolve Pest Solutions made it easy. Adam, technician was friendly, professional and did a careful, thorough job. Altho only one apartment required treatment, he carefully inspected the others as well. Since he was here, we have not had a single problem, the bugs are gone. They were the fastest, cheapest and simplest. I did a LOT of research into the methods, chemicals and extent of treatment. Don't waste another minute of your time, just call them and you will soon be able to put the problem behind you. We have.
I hope we never need to, but if I ever have another pest problem, I will call Mike without hesitation.

My technician Mike was prompt, courteous, professional, and personable. Straight to the point, he did a thorough inspection, he looked and listened, addressed my concerns, and confirmed that, thankfully, my property did not have termites.
I picked Resolve because of their positive Angie's list member reviews. I would not hesitate to call them or recommend them should a need arise in the future.

Was a little late, and it was kind of difficult to set the appointment. However, it was a last minute appointment and they did work us in. The inspection was very quick so the price seemed a little expensive.

Based on the results of a home inspection for a house I'm buying that indicated previous termite damage, I hired Resolve to come out and do a full termite inspection. They came out the same day to do a thorough assessment of the extent of the damage and provide and estimate for treatment. He was honest and very forthright about what how extensive the damage was (not very) and what treatment would entail and set my mind at ease regarding the pests.

Resolve Pest Solutions was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Bill answered my phone call, and spent at least 20 minutes answering all my questions and concerns about bed bugs before I booked the service. He was never in a rush, and very personable. Adam was the technician who came out and performed the service, and just like Bill, was very friendly, never seemed in a rush, and was genuinely concerned with solving our problem and addressing my concerns (I am 7 months pregnant and was concerned with the chemicals for both me and my two small dogs). We did need to have them come out for a second treatment two days before , and they could not have been more accommodating - they literally came out the same day I called, despite it being a busy holiday week, and despite my home being in Gurnee. These guys could lessons in excellent customer service - I could not have asked for anything better!

He called and rescheduled several times and it took multiple attempts to get him out. We did get an estimate from him to treat the entire perimeter of the house and it would cost $4650 for 240 linear feet (we got a quote from another company we ended up going with for about a third of that cost). He didn't show up for several appointments as well.

"[member name removed], Buyer beware! Anyone that quotes you $1500 for a full perimeter termite job is not giving you a real "full perimeter" treatment. I quoted you $4600 for an entire perimeter treatment. I stand by that quote. This is for your house which is not a small house. Any company can say that they will perform an entire perimeter treatment for 1/3rd of the $4600 I quoted, but if they are drilling the interior perimeter and the exterior, as well as the brick walls, I cannot see that the quote is realistic. We perform termite treatments exactly according to the procedures recommended by Termidor, the nations #1 termiticide. I would be willing to bet the other company quoted you for an interior perimeter treatment only, which may be 1/3rd of the work. This type of treatment is widely sold to unsuspecting customers as a full perimeter treatment, by one of the big companies in Chicago, but this treatment will not carry the 10 year manufacturers warranty. So, be aware that you are comparing apples and oranges. I will be happy to go over our treatment process versus their treatment. I have seen what two large PCO's call full perimeter treatment and it is only interior and it does not include drilling the walls. Please look into that and consider changing your negative review to reflect the facts. What reputable pest control company has quoted you a price of $1,500 for a full perimeter treatment? This is definitely not a quote we would be even close to competing with. The $1500 wouldn't even come close to covering our costs to do the job. So please remember when something seems too good to be true, "buyer beware"."

Technicians inspected interior and exterior with no sign of current activity but will be sending a proposal for mouse proofing services around the exterior to prevent critters.
They seemed very knowledgible and the inspection was thorough. We will use them in the future.

Fantastic. Very happy with their services and have referred them several times. They were very clear in their explanations and solutions. There was a bit of a miscommunication between the tech and office but they made sure that I wasn't charge incorrectly. Ants started appearing in my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. My boyfriend noticed them on the bedroom floor first (which seems an odd place since we don't eat in the bedroom), and then I found them on the kitchen window sill and surrounding countertop. I was too busy with a planned vacation and work to do anything immediately, but after finding a *lot* of ants in the bathroom this weekend, I resolved to make a call first thing Monday morning.
I called Resolve this morning before 7 AM, expecting to leave a message and get a call back. Instead, my call was answered by person who did not seem the least bit annoyed by my early call. I explained that I had ants in my house that needed treating and was told the price and that I could get it handled today if that was convenient for me. Absolutely!
I was asked for my contact information and advised that I would likely get service at around noon. I called back around 11 AM to check on the time estimate and was given an updated arrival of approximately 12:30. The guys arrived at my house right about that time, I showed them where I was having problems, and they immediately got to work treating the areas and putting down bait traps.
As I was getting out my checkbook, I was asked if I had found them through Angie's List. When I confirmed that I had, I was told there was a discount off the price I was quoted! :-)
