"After doing some shopping around to see what would best fit my pets I found Dog Guard and I will have to say I am very happy with this decision! Chris and Cliff were so great absolutely polite and very well educated on the product they sell and helping with any questions and concerns I had even after the install I called Chris multiple times with follow up questions and he was so helpful and understanding of my crazy calls being the first time with an electric fence! I woul definitely recommend them to anyone looking!"

"From the office staff to the owner to the installation technicians, this was a very pleasant experience!  Rob gave us a quote, took care of the permits and had his technicians build the fence in less time than he quoted!  Some of my landscaping was outside of my property line and Rob arrived to help remove it swiftly and professionally.  I would hire them again in a heartbeat!
Thanks everyone!

"Scott is so incredibly kind, courteous and he truly loves all dogs! His dog Millie is the best too! She has helped train both of our dogs to use the PetSafe fence which has been so incredibly helpful for us since we live next to a walking path and our dogs like to greet every single person that walks by! The fence keeps them from getting outside of our property. Scott initially installed our fence for our first dog, Coco. Then we added a new puppy last year and he came back out and spent so much time to train our dog Cookie too. This time, he came to repair our broken fence that was damaged when the plumber had to dig up our water line. He also helped us with bark collars and he helps train us on how to use those as well. Scott is passionate about humane and safe dog care and I would absolutely recommend him to any dog owner!"

"Kevin was very responsive, returned calls promptly and provided an emailed estimate. His estimate was very reasonable and is our choice for the job. Unfortunately, its late in the season and the weather will not cooperate with us so we are postponing our concrete project to the spring. At that time we will use Kat Construction for the project."

"We have been working with Blue Heaven Corp for a long period of time. They are trustworthy and reliable company, very clean and organized. Our last project was to paint our whole house. We have decided to leave for vacation and left keys for BHC crew to work on the paint  job. They have done an amazing job during our absence, not only the house was clean after this huge project but colors they have decided to use have been picked professionally and matched our furniture and floors. We’ve been very satisfied with the price and services and highly recommend Blue Heaven Corp company"

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

While there are plenty of DIY home remedies for pests, trapping and fumigation costs are worth the investment when dealing with a serious infestation that is hard to get rid of, like termites,  bed bugs, or mice.

DIY traps and sprays might help eliminate a few ants or the occasional mouse, but they're no match for a full-blown infestation. Call an extermination pro to locate where pests hide, how to treat the issue at the source, and how to keep it from returning.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.

Like many animals, gophers are bothered by strong scents. Peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil,  and coffee grounds can be used as deterrents against these pests. Similarly, you can try planting lavender, rosemary, sage, geraniums, or pine trees, as these plants all have strong smells that can ward away gophers. While it may be less pleasant to work with, coyote urine scares gophers by tricking the pests into thinking your yard is a predator hot spot.

There are several ways to dry out flea eggs. Diatomaceous earth (DE) is a natural ingredient that can dry out fleas, but it’s messy to apply and can also cause respiratory issues for members of your household if inhaled. Salt is safer and easier to apply, so shake it liberally over affected areas. Boric acid is another way to get rid of fleas and other insects, but this, too, can cause respiratory issues and health problems if inhaled or ingested.

Rocks are less likely to attract snakes and other critters because their prey (termites, ticks, and other insects) don’t usually inhabit this environment. However, if you have placed together rocks with large spaces in between or near a source of water, you may find a snake or an occasional chipmunk seeking shelter.
