We've lived in this house 27 years and I learned more about my fireplace/chimney than any prior chimney services(that mainly came from coupon magazines). He showed me the photo of the rusted out chase top (where the pipe comes out of the chimney), gave me an estimate for replacement($1200) and the time frame involved. "We were very satisfied with our service from Rob and Fire It Up at the end of September. After buying our first house, we wanted to make sure everything in the chimney was safe and working efficiently. Rob's inspection and estimate were very thorough and detailed. He clearly knows his stuff and didn't pressure us to schedule repairs right away. Mario and team did a full crown coat, put in two liners, and poured insulation. "Good work, honest dealers, fair price. I had a weirdly hard time even getting an estimate for a chimney cleaning. Some places want you to schedule the cleaning, after which they will perform an inspection and tell you what else needs to be done. Another place told me I needed another $2000 of repairs that I'm pretty sure are unnecessary. Gem came out quickly for an estimate for the cleaning and identified the limited crack repair, new caps, and waterproofing that would keep my chimney cap protected. Gem's technician Grace was great to deal with on the day of the work."
