Some places want you to schedule the cleaning, after which they will perform an inspection and tell you what else needs to be done. Another place told me I needed another $2000 of repairs that I'm pretty sure are unnecessary. Gem came out quickly for an estimate for the cleaning and identified the limited crack repair, new caps, and waterproofing that would keep my chimney cap protected. "Mario did a detailed inspection and quote. I had three companies bid out the job and he was the only one concerned with the condition of my chimney liner. Turns out the chimney liner was full of holes, potentially a safety issue. If I had hired the other companies that would not have been addressed. Quality of the work was great, always showed up on time and left the job site clean. Main office staff was friendly and easy to get ahold of. If there were any changes they always communicated it ahead of time. The new grout blended in perfectly, chimneys look much better. I also appreciated they offered crown coat, my crowns were in bad shape and look much nicer after using crown coat. They even fixed up some stuff on my brick lamp post."
