"Mal was exceedingly professional throughout the process of getting my mother's home re-sided and on the market for sale.  I think the new siding helped us sell the home in only one day!  The transformation was amazing and it added immense curb appeal.

His employees are very efficient and equally skilled.  They did all the work without leaving one single nail pop anywhere in the drywall.  That was surprising considering how many cosmetic improvements we had to do to the interior of our home after our siding was replaced.

Mal was very accommodating with respect to the timing of the work and even had his guys come back to adjust the siding after we had our porch mudjacked.  They made everything look perfect.  The home was well insulated very carefully prior to the siding installation.  They sealed up an old window in the garage and sided over it-lending to a more aesthetically pleasing and professional look overall.

Mal was very helpful long after the fact- several months after the job was completed.  He helped me order 3 more pieces of siding so that I could fix a spot of the house where a sloppy plumber routed a sump pump discharge.

The house looks perfect!  I really don't think we would've sold it so quickly, had we not invested the money to have the siding replaced.  Mal's outfit is very honest and professional.  He is transparent and easy to get to if you have questions.

Exceptional job all around!"

"If there were a way to rate them higher than 5, we would! These people know exactly what they are doing and they delivered on their promise to build us a beautiful garage. From the demolition of our existing garage to the final touches on our new garage, they were prompt, efficient and professional. We are very busy so we like working with people who are communicative and don't make us chase them for information. Our job started and ended earlier than anticipated and our neighbors have all commented on what a great job they did. We highly recommend this company and have already referred several people to them - they are just that good!!"

"The garage was built in February. We signed the contract in September and the garage was finished in March. It took 6 months and 1 day, and the actual building of the garage took 8 hours. I was surprised it took that long. The sales man said it would roughly take 60 days, but they don't commit to a finish date on their contract because everything is weather permitting. We had a beautiful fall, unusually high temperature, and as often as I called them, they said I was next on the list, and I would never recommend Danley Garage to anybody. The electric was completed in March. From the time I signed the contract to when I could pull in took 6 months and 1 day. They subcontract all the work out. They subcontract the concrete work out, they subcontract the electrical work out and the actual garage is built by Danley. I admit the material was fine, and it was a 3 man crew who were trained very well. Everybody knew what their job is because they literally had the garage built in less than 8 hours and I am talking about the wood, the siding, the roofing, everything was done. The problem I had with Danley, the companies that they sub out to, but you would think that Danley would manage all the companies that they subcontract, but they send you a letter and say here contact all these people. I would think I paid them to do that and not me. It took forever to get the concrete work done, and of course at that time, in February, when the garage was built, the electric company told me they can't run it from my house to the garage, because it has to be run underground and the ground is frozen. I had to wait until I could do that. I wasn't happy with them, I certainly wouldn't use them again and I wouldn't recommend them. I would like to give them a worse grade than C but the garage is well built. My anger comes from how long it took, and I had to deal with the subcontractors. It should have been done quicker, and it certainly should have been done better. The price was pretty compatible to the estimates that I got. They gave me a little break because another company had given me a lower bid. We had an independent contractor and he said that we were better off getting a company doing garages only, because any contractor would charge hourly. Danley has every measured and they just cut the pieces. The workmanship and the concrete was done well. The siding and shingle was quality and the woodwork was excellent. All that they kept telling me was that my name was on the list, I also drove out there, and they said everything was dependable on weather. Unless they had 150 garage ahead of me, it shouldn't have taken so long. When you speak to them, they are very understanding of your problems and situation, but they don't care. It is what it is, you signed the contract and made the down payment."

Garages questions, answered by experts

Garage door insulation can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years depending on the type of insulation. Cellulose has the shortest lifespan coming in at between 20 and 30 years, while spray foam, mineral wool, and fiberglass can last between 80 and 100 years with proper maintenance.

Humidity plays a role in how long more susceptible insulation materials—like fiberglass—last. Once fiberglass batts reach the 15-year mark, you'll need to routinely inspect your insulation to ensure that it is in mint order.

It’s better to build a garage than buy and install a prefabricated one. You can save money by purchasing a prefabricated metal garage kit for between $4,000 and $11,000. However, this does not include the price of labor and permits, which can account for more than half of the project cost. Building a new garage over buying a prefab garage will add more value to your home and will last longer, so it’s more cost-effective over time to build a new garage.

While you can technically use WD-40 to lube a garage door, it is not the best option since the oil it leaves behind can attract dirt. Instead, go to the hardware store and locate a lithium- or silicone- based garage grease. You can also search for garage door lubricant online; just make sure you get one that is made with lithium or silicone.

To properly maintain an epoxy garage floor, regularly sweep up dirt and debris using a broom and dustpan or a vacuum cleaner. Mop with warm water and scrub away stains using a mild cleaning solution that's safe for the epoxy product you have installed. Don't use any soap-based or chemical cleaners, as these can cause the epoxy surface to deteriorate more rapidly.

Hearing or feeling vibrations in your house can be unsettling, but there are a few possible causes for a vibrating noise in your wall or floor. Light bulbs and fixtures, circuit breakers, loose pipes, or faulty wiring could all cause vibrations. If you’re not sure what’s causing the vibrations, you can call a contractor to assess your home and narrow down the cause.
