They have installed wood flooring throughout entire floors in our house, patched, sanded and stained existing hardwood, and are planning to install laminate flooring in our basement next. "Mr Carpet was delightful to work with from beginning to end.  Mary, the office manager, scheduled our at home appointment around our schedules.  Michael came out to see us and described the different types of carpet.  We knew we wanted something in the brown family and Michael gave us tips... don't go too light as it will blend in the floor etc.  We thought about getting two staircases done (the second one leads to the basement).  Michael said let's do the most important one and I can always come back out when you are ready to do the second one.  We liked Michael's style; the time at our home was not rushed and very personable.  We decided to save a $100 and remove the old stair carpet ourselves (new home owners).  We removed the carpet the night before installation and we found the previous home owner had only done the varnish/wood stain to where the carpet was, not the complete staircase.  We knew this would be an issue the next day for installation, but it was  too late to call and reschedule.  Chaelo, the carpet installer, took a look and agreed we would need to to restain the stairs as the difference between the new carpet and old carpet would show. We wanted the carpet installed before Thanksgiving.  Chaelo called Mary and they squeezed us in the Wednesday before Thanksgiving without any issues.  Chaelo is like an artist the carpet is absolutely perfect ~ you can tell he takes pride in his work.  We would absolutely use Mr Carpet again; their customer service is excellent!

We have used Exposition Carpet for several carpet installations over many years in our finished basement, and have consistently found the best pricing, ease of schedule and quality installation thru them. I especially like that it's a family business and you are dealing directly with owners and not with a salesman that doesn't even know who his/her boss is. The installers have worked their for years and that says a lot.

After going through a back porch remodel enclosing to a mudroom, we wanted a pet friendly, water resistant and durable floor so we went with vinyl plank. The store had many options, and time frame to get material was within a week. We checked out a 'sale' prior at a trendy well known Lincoln Avenue store, only to be met with double the cost and attitude. So we ended up back at Exposition and it was a done deal within 2 weeks.

I thought I had reviewed them on AL, but realized I hadn't when the list asked if members had any feedback.

We wouldn't hesitate to use them for any flooring needs.

"The job was completed just as described by Don, the salesman.  On a Thursday the two-man crew arrived at the time stated, and went right to work, making suggestions for an improved finished product as they went along.  On this first day, they ground the top layer of the cement floor (minimal dust), filled any cracks and pits, smoothed out the epoxy, and distributed the vinyl chips.  On Friday, a second crew arrived in the early afternoon to clean up any loose material, correct any flaws, and spread the clear-coat sealant.  After another 24 hours I could walk on the floor -- it is beautiful!  I could not smell any odors in the house, they used their own generator for power on the first day, and there was no debris left behind.  Diana in the office made the administrative part of the transaction pleasant.  Overall, it was  a great experience working with this local company!
