"Derek and his team were great. We did have a mixture of grass used in the yard because we added a section. They had to use a mix in the main part of the yard because they used the Tall Fescue in the added section instead of the main yard."

"Ultra-Green merged with ExperiGreen to become my lawn care experts. I called ExperiGreen because I received a bill without notice that they had come. I spoke to Trisha who checked their records and said the technician was there. I asked her if the next time he came if he would leave a stake in the yard, put his name on the bill, and the time he serviced my lawn and she said sure. I informed her I was home and didn't see him or hear him. She said not a problem. She stated he could come back if I liked, but she didn't want to over fertilized the grass causing it to become distressed. I told her that wasn't necessary. She told me she documented my concerns so that they could be adhered to on the next visit. Trisha was very patience with me, I didn't feel like she was trying to get me off the phone. She really made me feel like a valued customer. She then connected me with Austin Borkowski to ask him about whether or not I needed to have my lawn Aerated and which type I should get. Austin was very knowledgeable and addressed all of my questions. He viewed my account and informed me of all the notes Trisha had put in my account. Austin told me he thought the liquid aeration would work well on my lawn. So, I had him put me on the schedule, although I thought they were a little expensive Austin promised me a lush green lawn next year and said he had no problem with his company coming back out until I was satisfied. He definitely knows his job well and made me feel like a value customer. ExperiGreen is my number one chose and I would definitely recommend them for your lawncare. They see you as a person and not just a number. Kudos to ExperiGreen Lawncare."

"Excellent work. Kaitlyn and her crew put in a sprinkler system for our new landscape project that included parkways, yard and a large number of plantings. She put in the system before the plantings were done and made a number of adjustments after the landscaping to ensure everything was watered appropriately. It works well and is extremely easy to use. I highly recommend Autorain and will use them again as our landscaping grows into other areas of our yard."

"Omar did an amazing job on my mother's backyard. It was a major project with concrete removal, paver installation, drain relocation, new sod and a new garden. The quality of work that was provided was exceptional. Omar kept in contact with me during the process and went above on beyond to give my mother a backyard she can be proud of, and his price was great for the amount of work he had to do. I strongly recommend Omar for your landscaping needs."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can absolutely make your own mulch, and there are a few ways to go about it. First, you can lay down pine needles or mulched leaves if you’re mulching in the fall. In the spring and summer, you can use mulched grass clippings. Alternatively, you can lay down a few layers of newspaper in your garden and gently wet the paper to keep it in place.

No, it’s not necessary to remove all the leaves from your lawn—in fact, leaving some behind can be beneficial. While it's important to clear thick layers of leaves that can smother your grass, leaving a light scattering of leaves can help feed your soil while also providing safe winter habitat for pollinators like bumble bees. Leftover leaves will eventually break down, enriching the soil and promoting healthy lawn growth.

It typically takes six to 12 months for leaves to decompose entirely. The process involves the mulch composting into your lawn to deliver nutrients that facilitate grass growth. The recommended process is to spread a thick layer of leaf mulch over your garden and let it marinate for a few seasons for best long-term results.

While leaves won’t fully decompose over winter, they will still continue to decompose, just more slowly than usual.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.
