"I highly recommend Apollo. Eric was prompt and courteous. Did a fantastic job. Very reasonably priced. We have a lot of windows on our older home that hadn’t been cleaned in a while but Eric was efficient and gentle with our older screens. Will definitely ask them back."

"Team from Power completed the work on time and cleaned up well after work was completed. Windows were measured correctly so replacement windows fit perfectly and were quality Pella windows versus no-name windows offered by other vendors."

"I needed a patio door set and a window that was over 9ft high, tinted to keep the sun from bleaching everything. John bought tint samples to my office for review and explained the difference in the tints in great detail. Not every company will go out of their way like that. When they came for the install, they were quick, clean and two of the nicest guys. Very professional and done within an hour. Windows look great!! I will definitely recommend them to anyone needing this service."

Windows FAQs, answered by experts

The best thing to clean windows with is a mixture of white vinegar, warm water, and dish soap. This will remove dirt, pollen, and grime without destroying any tints or protective films on your glass. You can also use a commercial window cleaner, but make sure to choose one that doesn’t have ammonia in it, as this can damage window coverings and frame materials over time.

Yes, professional window cleaning is worth the investment. Regular deep cleanings help keep your windows looking new, extend their lifespan, and boost your home's curb appeal. By removing dirt, dust, and other debris, you can reduce the risk of damage and accelerated wear to window frames and components. It also improves your home’s energy efficiency by keeping insulation and weatherstripping in good working order, potentially lowering your energy bills. Furthermore, annual or bi-annual cleanings can help identify problems like leaks or cracks early, before they escalate into expensive water damage. You can often recuperate the cost of cleaning through energy savings and by avoiding premature window replacement.

While plywood will keep winds and debris from shattering your windows from the outside, window film can help protect your windows from the inside. Window film can keep a window from shattering. If your windows break, the film can hold the shards of glass in place, reducing the risk of cuts.

While you may sometimes see window film marketed as "hurricane window film," note that it doesn't provide sufficient hurricane protection on its own. It's no substitute for plywood, storm windows, or hurricane shutters.

Depending on size, material, and labor, two windows can cost between $600 and $1,600.

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.
